At Semsons Tech, our Service Engineers are the people customers rely on when a machine needs to move from a crate to a production floor — and when a production line needs to get running again.
We work with jewellery manufacturers across India and international markets, providing advanced machinery and technology used throughout the jewellery manufacturing process.
As a Service Engineer, you will work hands-on with a wide range of industrial and jewellery manufacturing equipment, including:
- Diamond wax setting machines
- Laser marking and laser welding systems
- XRF gold and precious-metal analysers
- Jewellery 3D printers
- Casting and melting equipment
- Moulding and wax injection equipment
- Other electro-mechanical and automated production systems
This is a field-oriented engineering role. You will install machines, commission equipment, diagnose problems, train operators, perform preventive maintenance and work directly with customers at their manufacturing facilities.
You will learn the mechanical, electrical, electronics, controls and software aspects of different machine systems while developing strong real-world troubleshooting and customer-facing skills.
What You Will Do
1. Machine Installation & Commissioning
Visit customer factories for machine installation and commissioning.
Receive, inspect and prepare equipment for installation.
Assemble and install mechanical and electrical components.
Perform machine alignment, calibration and configuration.
Conduct machine trials and first-run production testing.
Train operators and customer teams on machine operation, safety and basic troubleshooting.
Ensure machines are handed over to customers in a production-ready condition.
2. Troubleshooting & Breakdown Support
Diagnose mechanical, electrical, electronic and control-system faults.
Identify the root cause of machine failures rather than only addressing symptoms.
Troubleshoot sensors, motors, drives, controllers, wiring, power systems and other machine components.
Support customers remotely through phone and WhatsApp before deciding whether an in office visit is required.
Attend breakdown calls at customer locations and restore machines to working condition as efficiently as possible.
Carry out repairs and component replacements when required.
Escalate complex technical issues to the appropriate technical or engineering team.
3. Preventive Maintenance
Conduct scheduled preventive maintenance visits.
Inspect machines for wear, alignment,
electrical issues and other potential failures.
Perform routine servicing and calibration.
Maintain service reports and machine history.
Recommend replacement of components before they result in production downtime.
Help customers maintain machine performance and reliability over the long term.
4. Customer Training & Technical Support
Train machine operators and customer technical teams.
Explain machine operation and troubleshooting in a clear and practical manner.
Provide first-line technical support remotely.
Communicate professionally with factory owners, production managers, operators and maintenance teams.
Understand the customer's production problem and translate it into a technical solution.
5. Technical Reporting & Feedback
Maintain accurate service and installation records.
Document machine faults, repairs, parts replaced and actions taken.
Identify recurring technical problems.
Share field feedback with the technical and engineering teams.
Report potential design, reliability or usability improvements.
Contribute to improving machine serviceability and customer experience.
