The Store Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of a lighting store, ensuring smooth functioning, and driving sales growth. The role includes managing staff, providing excellent customer service, maintaining inventory, ensuring store merchandising, and achieving sales targets. The store manager should have a strong understanding of lighting products, market trends, and the ability to lead a team to deliver high levels of customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:

- Sales Management:
- Lead the store in achieving sales goals and KPIs.
- Implement sales strategies to drive revenue growth.
- Monitor store performance and take corrective actions when necessary.
- Analyze sales reports to identify opportunities for improvement.
- Staff Supervision and Development:
- Manage the store team, ensuring adequate staffing levels.
- Provide training to new staff and ongoing coaching for the team.
- Set clear performance expectations and provide regular feedback.
- Conduct performance reviews and implement development plans.
- Customer Service:
- Ensure a high standard of customer service is maintained.
- Resolve customer complaints in a timely and professional manner.
- Assist customers with product selection, offering expert advice on lighting needs.
- Foster long-term relationships with customers, ensuring repeat business.
- Inventory Management:
- Oversee stock levels and reorder merchandise as necessary.
- Ensure accurate inventory tracking and management.
- Manage product displays, ensuring the store looks organized and aesthetically pleasing.
- Conduct regular stock counts and assist with stock audits.
- Store Operations:
- Manage store opening and closing procedures.
- Maintain cleanliness and safety standards within the store.
- Ensure that all products are priced correctly and displayed properly.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and health & safety regulations.
- Marketing and Merchandising:




- Implement in-store promotions and marketing strategies to increase foot traffic and sales.
- Maintain attractive product displays, highlighting new and popular products.
- Stay up-to-date with lighting trends, seasonal changes, and new product launches.
- Financial Management:
- Handle cash registers and ensure the accuracy of cash handling.
- Prepare and manage budgets for operational expenses and sales targets.
- Monitor store profit margins and make recommendations for improvement.
- Collaboration with Suppliers:
- Coordinate with lighting product suppliers for stock ordering and new product introductions.
- Ensure that stock is received in a timely manner and in good condition.
- Work closely with vendors to negotiate prices and improve inventory management.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

- Proven experience as a store manager or assistant manager, preferably in the retail or lighting industry.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.
- In-depth knowledge of lighting products, styles, and trends.
- Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work with sales data and analyze trends to drive business decisions.
- Ability to multitask and manage time effectively.
- Knowledge of inventory management systems and POS software.
- Strong communication skills (both written and verbal).
- Budgeting and financial management experience.

Education and Experience:

- High School Diploma or equivalent (required).
- A Bachelor's degree in business, retail management, or a related field (preferred).
- Previous experience in a lighting or home décor store (preferred).
- Retail management experience of 3+ years (required).
