Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Bodyshop Manager to manage the day-to-day operations of the automobile body shop. The candidate will be responsible for overseeing accident repairs, denting, painting, insurance claims, repair quality, customer satisfaction and workshop profitability.

Key Responsibilities

- Manage the overall day-to-day operations of the Body Shop.
- Supervise denting, painting, body repair and accidental vehicle repair activities.
- Inspect and evaluate the extent of damage in accident vehicles.
- Ensure proper preparation and documentation of repair estimates.
- Ensure the scope of repair is properly documented and communicated to customers and insurance companies.
- Allocate vehicles and jobs to Denter, Painter, Technicians and Supervisors based on their skills and workload.
- Monitor repair progress and ensure vehicles are delivered within the promised timeline.
- Ensure all repair work meets OEM/dealership quality standards.
- Conduct regular quality checks of denting, painting and body repair work.
- Monitor rework, repair quality and customer complaints.
- Manage manpower requirements, attendance, productivity and performance.




- Identify skill gaps and coordinate training for bodyshop employees.
- Ensure proper usage and maintenance of bodyshop tools, equipment and machinery.
- Monitor the availability and usage of paint, denting materials, consumables and spare parts.
- Coordinate with the Parts, Service and Insurance teams for smooth workflow.
- Monitor job cards, repair orders and pending vehicles.
- Track vehicle turnaround time (TAT) and take corrective action for delays.
- Ensure proper housekeeping, safety and discipline within the bodyshop.
- Handle escalated customer complaints and ensure timely resolution.
- Monitor bodyshop revenue, productivity and profitability.
- Prepare and submit regular performance reports to the Service Manager / General Manager.
- Ensure compliance with Hyundai processes, dealership policies and safety standards.

Qualification

- Diploma / BE / B.Tech in Automobile / Mechanical Engineering preferred.

Experience

- 5–10 years of experience in automobile bodyshop operations preferred.
- Previous experience as Bodyshop Manager / Bodyshop In-charge / Bodyshop Supervisor in a car dealership is preferred.
