Education Qualification: Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field or higher with minimum 5 years of relevant experience.
The ideal candidate is a hands-on Senior/Lead Mobile Engineer who can work confidently across both Android and iOS, understands enterprise mobile architecture, and has practical experience integrating mobile applications with core banking and digital banking ecosystems.
They should be equally comfortable writing code, reviewing architecture, troubleshooting production issues, mentoring developers, and engaging with architects, product owners, and banking stakeholders.
Experience in a Canadian Credit Union or Canadian banking environment is a significant advantage.
The role requires a strong engineering mindset, with the ability to make architectural decisions, mentor developers, troubleshoot complex production issues, and drive engineering excellence across the mobile development lifecycle.
Your future duties and responsibilities
- Lead the design, development, and maintenance of enterprise-grade mobile banking applications for Android and iOS.
- Develop high-quality, reusable, maintainable, and testable mobile application components.
- Implement new digital banking features across mobile channels.
- Ensure consistent functionality and user experience across Android and iOS.
- Review code and enforce engineering standards, design patterns, and best practices.
- Troubleshoot complex applications, performance, and production issues.
