Surveyor – Construction

Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced and detail-oriented Surveyor to carry out land and construction surveying activities at project sites. The Surveyor will be responsible for accurate setting-out, measurements, levels, alignment, and verification of construction works as per approved drawings and specifications.

Key Responsibilities

- Conduct site surveys, measurements, levels, and setting-out activities for construction works.
- Establish and maintain benchmarks, reference points, grid lines, coordinates, and control points.
- Carry out setting-out for foundations, columns, walls, slabs, roads, structures, and other civil works.
- Ensure proper alignment, elevation, levels, dimensions, and coordinates as per approved drawings.
- Conduct surveys using Total Station, Auto Level, DGPS/GPS, and other surveying instruments.
- Read and interpret architectural, structural, civil, and engineering drawings.
- Verify actual site conditions against approved drawings and coordinate with the engineering team for discrepancies.
- Take accurate measurements for excavation, earthwork, concrete, masonry, roads, and other construction activities.
- Prepare survey reports, measurement records, level books, and as-built survey data.
- Monitor and maintain survey equipment and ensure proper calibration and accuracy.
- Coordinate with Civil Engineers, Site Engineers, QA/QC, Planning, and Quantity Surveying teams.




- Assist in checking quantities and measurements required for billing and work progress.
- Carry out periodic checks to ensure construction is progressing within the required tolerances.
- Maintain proper documentation of all survey activities and records.
- Identify and report any deviations in dimensions, levels, or alignment to the concerned Engineer/Project Manager.
- Ensure surveying activities are carried out safely and in accordance with project requirements.

Required Qualifications

- Diploma / ITI / Degree in Civil Engineering, Surveying, or a related field.
- Relevant experience in construction surveying, preferably in high-rise building / residential / commercial projects.
- Good knowledge of Total Station, Auto Level, and other surveying equipment.
- Ability to read and understand construction drawings.
- Basic knowledge of AutoCAD is preferred.
- Good knowledge of construction methods, levels, coordinates, and setting-out procedures.
- Robust attention to detail and accuracy.
- Good coordination and communication skills.

Experience

5-8 years of relevant experience in construction surveying. Candidates with experience in high-rise residential, commercial, or large-scale construction projects will be preferred.

Pay: ₹30,000.00 - ₹40,000.00 per month
