JOB DESCRIPTION – PPC MANAGERPosition: PPC Manager

About the Role
We are looking for an experienced PPC Manager to lead Production Planning & Control activities for our manufacturing operations.
The ideal candidate should have strong experience in multi-component manufacturing, production planning, MRP, material coordination, capacity planning, inventory control, and production MIS.
Experience in manufacturing of Electromagnetic Relays, PCB Relays, Automotive Relays, Electrical/Electronic Components, Switches, Connectors, or similar multi-component precision products will be highly preferred.
Key Responsibilities1. Production Planning & Scheduling
- Prepare and manage daily, weekly, and monthly production plans based on customer requirements, sales orders, inventory levels, and master production schedules.
- Develop and monitor Master Production Schedule (MPS) for multiple products/components.
- Plan production considering machine capacity, manpower availability, tooling, materials, and delivery requirements.
- Ensure optimum utilization of available manpower, machines, tools, and production capacity.
- Coordinate with Production to ensure timely execution of planned schedules.
2. Material Requirement Planning (MRP)
- Prepare and monitor MRP based on production plans, BOMs, inventory, and material lead times.
- Coordinate closely with Purchase, Stores, Production, and Quality teams to ensure timely material availability.
- Monitor shortages and initiate timely action to avoid production stoppages.
- Maintain appropriate inventory levels and minimize excess/obsolete inventory.
3. Multi-Component Production Planning
- Manage PPC for products involving multiple components, sub-assemblies, processes, and operations.
- Coordinate planning of components across different manufacturing processes such as stamping, press shop, tooling, assembly, molding, plating, testing, and other secondary operations, as applicable.
- Ensure synchronization between component production and final assembly requirements.
- Monitor component-wise production status and identify dependency-related bottlenecks.
4. Production Monitoring & Control
- Monitor Plan vs.
Actual production on a daily basis.
- Identify production deviations, bottlenecks, capacity constraints, and material shortages.
- Take corrective actions in coordination with concerned departments.
- Ensure achievement of production targets and committed delivery schedules.
- Monitor pending orders and prioritize production accordingly.
5. MIS & Reporting
- Prepare and present daily, weekly, and monthly PPC MIS reports.
- Track key performance indicators such as:
- Plan vs. Actual Production
- Production Achievement %
- Capacity Utilization
- Material Availability
- Line/Process Loading
- Production Rejection / Rework
- Order Status
- Inventory Status
- On-Time Delivery
- Provide accurate and timely reports to management.
6. Cross-Functional Coordination
- Coordinate with Production, Purchase, Stores, Quality, Maintenance, Tool Room, Sales, and Dispatch teams.
- Conduct regular production planning meetings and follow up on action points.
- Communicate production priorities and changes effectively to concerned teams.
- Escalate critical delays and constraints to management.
7. Capacity & Resource Planning
- Analyze machine and process capacity against production requirements.
- Prepare capacity loading plans and identify capacity gaps.
- Support management in manpower, machine, tooling, and process planning.
- Coordinate with Production and Maintenance for machine availability.
8. Inventory & Delivery Control
- Monitor raw material, WIP, semi-finished goods, and finished goods inventory.
- Ensure smooth material flow from stores to production and between processes.
- Reduce excess WIP and improve inventory turnover.
- Ensure production plans support on-time customer deliveries.
9. Process Improvement
- Identify bottlenecks and inefficiencies in production planning.
- Drive improvements in lead time, inventory, productivity, machine utilization, and production flow.
- Support implementation of Lean Manufacturing, Kaizen, 5S, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Develop systems and processes for improving PPC effectiveness.

Team Management
- Lead and guide the PPC team.
- Allocate responsibilities and monitor team performance.
- Train team members on planning, MRP, ERP transactions, MIS, and PPC processes.
- Ensure discipline, accuracy, and timely execution of PPC activities.
Required Skills & Competencies
- Strong knowledge of Production Planning & Control (PPC).
- Excellent understanding of MRP, MPS, BOM, capacity planning, and production scheduling.
- Strong experience in multi-component manufacturing environments.
- Valuable knowledge of ERP/MRP systems.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent coordination and communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple products, processes, and priorities simultaneously.
- Strong knowledge of Excel and MIS reporting.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
- Strong leadership and team-management capabilities.
Industry Experience – Mandatory / PreferredMandatory:
- Experience in manufacturing / engineering industry.
- Hands-on experience in PPC, production planning, MRP, and material coordination.
- Experience handling multiple components / multiple manufacturing processes.
Highly Preferred:
Candidates with experience in manufacturing of:
- Electromagnetic Relays
- PCB Relays
- Automotive Relays
- Electrical / Electronic Components

- Connectors
- Contactors
- Precision Stamped Components
- Electromechanical Components
- Other similar multi-component precision products
will be given strong preference.
Education
- Diploma / BE / B.Tech in Mechanical / Production / Industrial Engineering or equivalent.
- Additional qualification in Production Planning, Supply Chain, or Operations Management will be an advantage.
Experience
7–12 years of relevant experience, preferably with 3+ years in a PPC leadership / managerial role.
Experience in electronics, electrical, electromechanical, automotive component, or precision engineering manufacturing will be preferred.
