Responsibilities & Key Deliverables

- Own automotive interior trim deliverables from feasibility to release
- Prepare design proposals for Styling/CAS and quality improvement
- Perform tooling feasibility: tool direction, parting line, slider/lifter
- Conduct interface, DMU, assembly and serviceability checks
- Release 3D data in Teamcenter/PLM with quality checks
- Prepare DCS, BOM and review-ready technical documentation
- Interior trims design and development process knowledge
- Plastic part design and tooling/manufacturing feasibility
- CATIA parametric modelling with GD&T; and 3D annotation
- Gap-flush, BSR, CAE/DVP and validation awareness
- DMU, interface, assembly and service requirement understanding

Preferred Exposure

- Door trims, pillar trims, IP trims, console, luggage trims, tailgate trims or headliner/sunshade related parts
- Benchmarking for features, ergonomics, weight, cost and global trends
- Supplier feasibility closure and cross-functional issue resolution

Experience

- 4 to 7 years trims design experience
- CATIA hands-on modelling and release exposure
- Plastic/tooling feasibility knowledge
- Interior trim commodity ownership

Industry Preferred

Automotive trims design experience at OEM / Tier 1 / engineering services organization.
