Qualification: B.E./B.Tech/Diploma – Mechanical Engineering
Experience: 3–8 years preferred

Job Purpose

Responsible for the safe, reliable, and efficient maintenance of mechanical equipment and utilities in a phenolic resin manufacturing plant, minimizing breakdowns and ensuring continuous production.

Key Responsibilities

· Maintain and troubleshoot resin reactors, agitators, gearboxes, pumps, mechanical seals, condensers, vacuum systems, heat exchangers, tanks, filters, and other mechanical equipment.

· Ensure reliable operation of reactor heating/cooling systems, thermal-oil systems, cooling-water systems, and vacuum systems.

· Maintain and inspect process and utility piping, valves, flanges, gaskets, supports, expansion joints, and strainers.

· Execute preventive, predictive, and breakdown maintenance activities.

· Perform equipment inspection, vibration monitoring, lubrication, alignment, and mechanical-seal maintenance.

· Diagnose equipment failures and conduct Root Cause Analysis (RCA) to prevent repeat breakdowns.

· Plan and supervise shutdown/turnaround maintenance, equipment overhauling, installation, and commissioning.

· Coordinate with Production, Electrical, Instrumentation, EHS, contractors, and vendors for maintenance activities.

· Maintain equipment history, maintenance records, spare-parts inventory, and technical documentation.

· Support mechanical modification, debottlenecking, reliability,



and plant-improvement projects.

· Ensure compliance with Permit-to-Work, LOTO, confined-space, hot-work, and other plant safety procedures.

· Ensure proper isolation, depressurization, draining, flushing, and decontamination before equipment maintenance.

Technical Skills

· Reactor and agitator maintenance

· Pumps, gearboxes, bearings & mechanical seals

· Condensers and heat exchangers

· Vacuum pumps and vacuum piping

· Thermal-oil heating systems

· Cooling-water systems

· Process and utility piping

· Preventive & predictive maintenance

· Equipment alignment and troubleshooting

· P&ID; and mechanical drawing interpretation

· Root Cause Analysis and reliability improvement

Required Qualifications & Experience

· Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering.

· Experience in phenolic resin, chemical, polymer, specialty chemical, adhesive, or batch-process manufacturing preferred.

· Good knowledge of static and rotating equipment and industrial maintenance practices.

· Robust troubleshooting, planning, communication, and safety skills.

Pay: ₹30,000.00 - ₹45,000.00 per month
