Chāo is hiring a Commis I to join our Chinese kitchen team.
Responsibilities:
- Prep independently as per Tangra-style Chinese recipes under senior chef guidance
- Handle wok stations during service
- Manage prep work (sauces, marinades, cuts) to standard
- Ensure consistency in taste and presentation
- Maintain hygiene and kitchen safety standards
Requirements:
- 2–3 years experience as Commis I or similar, preferably in Chinese/Indo-Chinese/Tangra cuisine
- Comfortable working wok stations during peak hours
- Basic understanding of food safety and hygiene practices
- Ability to work in a rapid-paced kitchen environment
Location: Panampilly Nagar, Kochi
Job Type: Full-time
