Role Overview

Architecture + Hands-on Engineering + Technical Leadership

We are looking for a visionary yet hands-on Technical Architect who can define enterprise-wide architecture, technology strategy and engineering standards across multiple products and platforms. The role is expected to translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions, guide engineering teams, reduce technical risk, and remain actively involved in implementation when required. This is not a purely advisory or documentation role: the Architect may be required to contribute directly to production-quality code, prototypes, critical modules, technical fixes and architectural proof-of-concepts.

Key Responsibilities

- Define enterprise architecture strategy, target architecture and technology roadmap across products and platforms.
- Design scalable, secure, resilient and maintainable systems aligned with business and product objectives.
- Architect cloud-native, distributed, microservices and multi-tenant SaaS solutions.
- Convert product/business requirements into clear architecture, technical designs, service boundaries, data models and API contracts.
- Establish architecture governance, coding standards, engineering best practices, design principles and technical decision records.
- Conduct architecture reviews, design reviews, code reviews and technical risk assessments.
- Identify bottlenecks, scalability concerns, security risks and technical debt, and drive practical remediation plans.
- Drive modernization initiatives, technology evaluation and technical investment decisions.
- Mentor and guide Technical Leads, Senior Engineers and other engineering members.
- Collaborate closely with Product, Engineering, QA, DevOps, Security and business stakeholders.
- Support estimation, technical planning, solution feasibility and delivery planning for recent products and major features.

Hands-on Coding & Engineering Responsibility

- The role is explicitly hands-on. When required by project priorities, the Technical Architect will contribute directly to coding and implementation—not only architecture and reviews.
- Develop production-quality backend,



frontend or integration components where architectural complexity, criticality or delivery timelines require Architect-level involvement.
- Build technical prototypes, Proofs of Concept (PoCs), reference implementations and reusable frameworks to validate architectural decisions.
- Assist engineers in debugging complex production or development issues and provide root-cause analysis.
- Contribute to performance optimization, scalability improvements, security fixes and critical technical modules.
- Review and improve existing codebases and guide refactoring/modernization without losing delivery focus.
- Pair with engineers when necessary to transfer architecture decisions into working code and establish implementation patterns.
- Remain capable of switching between architecture, design, coding, review and technical troubleshooting based on business/project requirements.

Core Technical Expertise

- Programming: JavaScript, TypeScript, Python, Go (Golang) for minimum 3-4 years, Java / Spring Boot
- Architecture: DDD, SOA, API-First, Distributed Systems, Multi-Tenant SaaS
- Backend: Node.js, Express.js, Identity, Authentication/Authorization, Messaging
- Data: MongoDB, Redis, Data Modeling, Query/Performance Optimization
- Frontend/Mobile: React.js, React Native AI: LangChain, Gemini, RAG, AI Agents, OCR
- Cloud & DevOps: AWS, Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD
- Security: SSDLC, API Security, Encryption, Governance
- Integrations: WhatsApp Business, Payment Gateways, Enterprise APIs

Product & Engineering Expectations

- Strong understanding of building production-grade software products rather than isolated applications or proof-of-concepts only.
- Ability to balance ideal architecture with business timelines, budget, maintainability and team capability.




- Comfort working in an evolving product-company environment where requirements may change and multiple initiatives may run in parallel.
- Ability to make pragmatic technology choices and clearly explain trade-offs to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Ownership mindset: identify problems proactively, propose solutions and follow through until the technical outcome is delivered.
- Strong emphasis on reliability, security, observability, performance, scalability and maintainability from design through production.

Leadership & Collaboration

- Mentor Technical Leads and senior engineers and help establish a strong engineering culture.
- Set clear technical direction without creating unnecessary process or bureaucracy.
- Participate in hiring and technical evaluation of senior engineering candidates when required.
- Help define technical interview standards and assess architecture, coding and problem-solving capability.
- Work directly with leadership to communicate architecture decisions, technical risks, dependencies and delivery implications.
- Promote documentation of important architecture decisions, APIs, dependencies and operational considerations.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience in FinTech, SaaS, AI platforms, cloud-native architectures and enterprise-scale distributed systems.

Nice to Have

Kafka, GraphQL, Serverless, Machine Learning Platforms, Multi-Cloud Architecture.

What We Expect From the Right Candidate

The ideal candidate is a senior engineer and a kind-of polyglot architect who can operate at both strategic and implementation levels. You should be comfortable designing the system, explaining why the design is appropriate, guiding the team through it, reviewing the implementation, and writing code yourself when the situation demands it. Candidates looking for a purely managerial, documentation-only or high-level advisory architecture role may not be the right fit

Pay: ₹1,800,000.00 - ₹4,000,000.00 per year
