About the Employer
The client is a well-established sanitary and plumbing products sales and distribution company based in Malappuram, Kerala. The company is looking for an experienced Warehouse Supervisor to manage day-to-day warehouse operations, inventory control, receiving, storage, picking, dispatch, stock verification, and warehouse team supervision.

Job Purpose
To efficiently manage warehouse operations and inventory by ensuring proper receiving, storage, stock control, picking, packing, dispatch, and documentation of sanitary, plumbing, and building-material products while minimizing product damage, stock discrepancies, and operational losses.

Key Responsibilities
- Manage day-to-day warehouse operations and activities.
- Receive and verify incoming sanitary, plumbing, and related products.
- Check quantities, product specifications, brands, models, and physical condition of received materials.
- Ensure proper storage and systematic arrangement of products within the warehouse.
- Maintain accurate inventory records, stock registers, and warehouse documentation.
- Monitor stock levels and identify shortages, excess stock, slow-moving, and damaged items.
- Coordinate with purchase and sales teams regarding stock availability and requirements.
- Ensure timely picking, packing, and dispatch of customer orders.
- Verify products against sales orders and invoices before dispatch.
- Ensure proper handling of fragile sanitary ware such as wash basins, water closets, sinks, fittings, and other products to minimize damage and breakage.
- Supervise loading and unloading of materials.
- Conduct regular physical stock verification and reconcile inventory discrepancies.
- Maintain proper documentation for goods received, goods issued, returns, transfers, and damaged goods.
- Monitor warehouse cleanliness, safety, security, and housekeeping.
- Ensure products are stored according to type, size, brand, model, and other relevant specifications.
- Manage returned, defective, and damaged products and coordinate with relevant departments.
- Supervise warehouse assistants, helpers, loaders,



and other warehouse personnel.
- Allocate daily work responsibilities and monitor team productivity.
- Ensure adherence to company warehouse procedures, inventory controls, and internal policies.
- Coordinate with transporters and delivery teams to ensure timely dispatch of materials.
- Prepare periodic inventory, stock, and warehouse performance reports.
- Identify opportunities to improve warehouse layout, stock management, product handling, and operational efficiency.
- Ensure proper security of inventory and prevent loss, damage, unauthorized movement, or misuse of materials.

Candidate RequirementsExperience
- Minimum 5 years of relevant warehouse experience.
- Practical experience in warehouse and inventory management within the sanitary, plumbing, building materials, hardware, or related industry is essential/preferred.
- Experience in handling fragile sanitary products and plumbing materials will be a solid advantage.

Industry & Product Knowledge
Candidates should preferably have hands-on experience handling products such as:
- Sanitary ware and bathroom fittings.
- Wash basins and water closets.
- Kitchen sinks.
- Faucets and taps.
- Shower systems and accessories.
- PVC / CPVC / uPVC pipes and fittings.
- Plumbing valves and connectors.
- Drainage and related plumbing products.
- Building materials and plumbing accessories.
- Knowledge of product sizes, models, brands, specifications, and product identification will be preferred.

Skills Required
- Strong knowledge of warehouse and inventory management.
- Practical experience in the sanitary/plumbing products industry.
- Good understanding of stock control and warehouse documentation.
- Ability to identify products, sizes, models, brands, and specifications.




- Good working knowledge of MS Excel and inventory/ERP systems.
- Strong supervisory and team-management skills.
- Good organizational and problem-solving abilities.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Good communication and coordination skills.
- Ability to manage loading, unloading, picking, packing, and dispatch activities.
- Ability to work effectively in a warehouse environment.

Qualification
- Any Bachelor's Degree / Degree qualification.
- Additional qualifications or certifications in warehouse management, logistics, or inventory management will be an added advantage.

Other Requirements
- Practical understanding of warehouse safety and material-handling procedures.
- Ability to handle fragile sanitary ware and plumbing products carefully.
- Ability to manage warehouse personnel and allocate daily responsibilities.
- Strong sense of responsibility for inventory security and stock accuracy.
- Ability to coordinate effectively with sales, purchase, accounts, transporters, and management.
