Global Tech Integrated Systems Pvt. Ltd. is looking for an experienced Marine Electrical & Automation Engineer with strong onboard experience and a solid background as an Electro-Technical Officer (ETO).
Who We’re Looking For
We are looking for a practical, hands-on marine electrical and automation skilled who understands how vessel systems operate in real working conditions.
The candidate should be able to independently troubleshoot, diagnose, repair, modify, test and commission marine electrical and automation systems onboard vessels.
Previous sailing experience as an ETO is essential for this position.
Key Requirement
Minimum 6–8 years of sailing experience as an ETO, with hands-on experience in troubleshooting, repair, testing, modification and commissioning of marine electrical, automation and control systems.
The ideal candidate should be capable of independently attending vessels, diagnosing electrical and automation faults, carrying out software and hardware troubleshooting, and commissioning systems onboard.
Key Responsibilities
Marine electrical and automation troubleshooting, repair and commissioning
PLC, HMI, software, hardware and control system diagnostics
AMS, PMS, generators, ACBs and blackout recovery systems
Steering gear, boiler, inert gas, BWTS and tank monitoring systems
SAAB Tank Radar, ODME, gas detection and purifier automation
Troubleshooting sensors, VFDs, I/O modules and control panels
Testing, commissioning, service reporting and vessel attendance
Required Qualifications & Skills
- Diploma / Degree in Electrical, Electronics, Instrumentation, Automation or related Engineering
- 6–8 years minimum sailing experience as an ETO
- Strong practical knowledge of marine electrical and automation systems
- Hands-on experience with PLC-based marine automation systems
- Experience with Siemens, Mitsubishi, Allen-Bradley, Schneider, Omron or equivalent PLC systems
- Good knowledge of PLC software and hardware troubleshooting
- Knowledge of Modbus, RS-485, Ethernet, CANbus and industrial communication networks
- Strong fault-finding, diagnostic and commissioning skills
- Ability to work independently onboard vessels
- Willingness to travel internationally for vessel attendance and service jobs
