We are looking for an experienced, hands-on HR/Admin Manager to manage plant-level HR and administrative operations at our manufacturing unit in Bhavnagar. The role will be responsible for industrial compliance, labour laws, payroll, recruitment, employee relations, HR policies, and day-to-day plant HR operations.
The ideal candidate should be comfortable working closely with plant management and employees, handling workforce-related matters independently, and ensuring smooth HR operations with complete legal and statutory compliance.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage complete HR & Admin operations for the manufacturing plant and office.
- Handle industrial relations, employee relations, grievance handling, and conflict resolution.
- Ensure compliance with labour laws, factory laws, industrial regulations, and statutory requirements.
- Maintain and manage all required HR, employee, labour, compliance, and statutory records.
- Manage payroll, attendance, leave, PF, PT, ESIC, bonus, salary administration, and other employee benefits.
- Coordinate with relevant consultants, government departments, auditors, and statutory authorities when required.
- Manage employee joining, onboarding, documentation, transfers, disciplinary actions, and exit formalities.
- Lead recruitment and hiring for plant and office requirements, including manpower planning and coordination with departments.
- Develop and implement HR policies, procedures, systems, and employee welfare initiatives.
- Maintain accurate employee records and ensure timely updates in HR/payroll software.
- Support plant management in manpower planning, productivity, discipline, and employee engagement.
- Handle day-to-day administrative activities and facility-related coordination for the plant.
- Prepare HR reports, MIS, manpower reports, attendance reports, and compliance documentation.
- Promote a positive work environment while maintaining discipline, productivity, and professional standards.
- Ensure all HR practices are aligned with applicable legal and organizational requirements.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- 3–5 years of relevant experience in HR/Administration, preferably in a managerial or assistant managerial role.
- Strong experience in manufacturing/plant HR is highly preferred.
- Candidates from metal, industrial, engineering, chemical, or similar manufacturing industries will be preferred.
- Strong knowledge of Industrial Compliance, Labour Laws, Factory Laws, and statutory requirements.
- Good understanding of payroll, PF, PT, ESIC, bonus, leave, attendance, and employee benefits.
- Proficiency in HR/Payroll software and advanced MS Office, particularly Excel.
- Solid leadership, people management, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent conflict resolution and employee grievance-handling abilities.
- Strong recruitment and talent acquisition/hiring skills.
- Ability to work independently and take ownership of plant-level HR activities.
- Practical, hands-on approach with strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate will be a practical and people-oriented HR professional who can independently manage plant HR operations, understands industrial compliance and labour laws, and can effectively balance employee needs with business and plant requirements.
Industry Preference: Metal, Industrial, Engineering, Chemical or similar Manufacturing
Transport: Company vehicle transport may be provided, subject to feasibility and shift timings.
Experience: 3-5 Years in managerial or assistant managerial capacity
Industry Preference: Manufacturing in metal, industrial, engineering or chemical
Education: BA, HRM or related, PG Diploma in HRM, PM/IR
Office Timing: 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM
Location: Bhavnagar - Office & Manufacturing Unit
Salary up to 5.50 LPA based on experience and current salary.
