About the role

You'll be joining Zuvomo, an established advisory and growth firm with 8+ years of experience working with startups and emerging companies, where you'll contribute to building and scaling technology products and solutions across our business initiatives.

As a full-time Backend Developer, you'll be responsible for designing, developing, maintaining, and scaling reliable backend systems and microservices. You'll work on real product features that ship to production, solve technical challenges, and collaborate with the team to build efficient, secure, and maintainable solutions.

This is a hands-on role with real ownership. Less theory, more execution.

Selected candidate's day-to-day responsibilities include:

- Build, develop, and maintain scalable backend services and REST APIs using Java and Spring Boot.
- Design and manage database structures and data models using PostgreSQL; write efficient, optimized SQL queries.
- Develop and maintain persistence layers using Spring Data JPA and Hibernate, with attention to efficient data access, pagination, indexing, and performance.
- Integrate third-party APIs and external services, implementing caching strategies using Redis.
- Implement secure, reliable backend services with proper authentication, authorization, validation, exception handling, and API standards.
- Write clean, well-tested code using JUnit, Mockito, and MockMvc (unit and integration tests).
- Debug and resolve application/production issues through log analysis and root-cause investigation.
- Collaborate via Git and GitHub — code reviews, pull requests, branching, merge conflict resolution, and coding standards.
- Contribute to backend architecture, database migrations (Flyway), API documentation (OpenAPI/Swagger), CI/CD pipelines, and system scalability.

Required Qualifications:

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, Engineering, or related field (preferred, not mandatory).
- 3+ years of professional backend development experience, with strong hands-on Java and Spring Boot expertise.
- Solid understanding of OOP, REST APIs, and backend architecture principles.
- Hands-on experience with PostgreSQL, SQL, Spring Data JPA, and Hibernate.
- Proven experience building production-ready APIs and integrating external services.
- Experience with unit/integration testing, Git/GitHub workflows, and debugging production issues.
- Strong grasp of code quality, security, performance, and scalability best practices.
- Strong problem-solving, communication, and ownership mindset.

Nice to Have:

- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and Liquibase (as an alternative to Flyway).
- Exposure to cloud or containerized deployment environments (AWS/GCP/Azure).
- Experience with microservices architecture, distributed systems, or message queues (Kafka/RabbitMQ).
- Exposure to AI, SaaS, or fintech products.

Pay: ₹600,000.00 - ₹700,000.00 per year
