Position: Indirect Tax Associate

Job Summary

We are looking for a Qualified Chartered Accountant with strong knowledge of Indirect Taxation to join our tax team. The candidate will be responsible for handling GST compliance, tax advisory, reconciliations, assessments, and supporting clients/business teams on various indirect tax matters.

Key Responsibilities

- Manage end-to-end GST compliance, including GSTR-1, GSTR-3B, GSTR-9 and other applicable returns.

- Perform GST reconciliations between books, GSTR-1, GSTR-3B, GSTR-2B and other relevant data.

- Review input tax credit (ITC) eligibility and identify discrepancies.

- Assist in handling GST notices, assessments, audits and departmental queries.

- Conduct research on GST laws, rules, notifications, circulars and case laws.

- Provide support on GST advisory and transaction-related tax implications.

- Assist with GST refunds, registrations, amendments and other procedural matters.





- Review tax workings and ensure accuracy and compliance with applicable regulations.

- Coordinate with internal teams/clients for collection and validation of tax-related information.

- Prepare MIS, reports, tax workings and documentation for management review.

- Support senior team members in GST litigation and tax advisory assignments.

Required Skills

- Robust knowledge of GST / Indirect Tax laws and compliance.

- Good understanding of Input Tax Credit, RCM, e-invoicing and e-way bill provisions.

- Knowledge of GST assessments, audits and notices.

- Strong analytical and reconciliation skills.

- Good command of MS Excel and tax-related software/tools.

- Excellent communication and documentation skills.

- Ability to interpret tax laws and apply them to business transactions.

Eligibility

- CA Qualified – mandatory.

- 1–4 years of relevant experience in GST / Indirect Taxation preferred.

- Candidates from CA firms, consulting firms, Big 4, or corporate tax teams will be considered.
