Job Purpose

To supervise and control day-to-day assembly line operations, ensuring production targets, product quality, manpower utilization, safety, and timely completion of production as per company requirements.

Key Responsibilities

- Production Supervision
- Supervise daily assembly line activities for switches, sockets and related electrical products.
- Ensure production is completed as per daily/shift-wise targets and production plans.
- Monitor line productivity and identify bottlenecks or delays.
- Ensure proper line balancing and smooth flow of materials and production.
- Manpower Management
- Allocate workers/operators to different assembly operations according to workload and skill.
- Monitor attendance, discipline, punctuality and performance of assembly workers.
- Train new workers on assembly processes, work methods and safety practices.
- Ensure optimum utilization of available manpower.
- Quality Control
- Ensure products are assembled according to approved specifications and work instructions.
- Monitor defects, rejections, rework and quality issues at the assembly line.
- Coordinate with the Quality Department to resolve recurring quality problems.
- Ensure defective or non-conforming products are properly identified and segregated.
- Material & Component Control
- Ensure required components, raw materials, packing materials and tools are available at the line.
- Coordinate with Store/PPC for timely availability of materials.
- Prevent material wastage, shortages, mix-ups and unnecessary consumption.
- Process & Workstation Control
- Ensure operators follow standard operating procedures and approved assembly methods.
- Maintain proper workstation arrangement, cleanliness and 5S standards.
- Ensure tools, fixtures and machines used in assembly are in proper working condition.
- Report machine/tool breakdowns and process abnormalities immediately.
- Production Records & Reporting
- Maintain daily production, rejection, rework and manpower records.
- Prepare shift-wise production reports and submit them to the concerned HOD.




- Report production shortfalls, quality issues, material shortages and other abnormalities.
- Safety & Discipline
- Ensure workers follow all safety rules and use required PPE.
- Maintain discipline and proper behavior on the assembly floor.
- Ensure unauthorized mobile phone usage and other prohibited activities are controlled as per company policy.
- Immediately report any unsafe condition or workplace incident.
- Continuous Improvement
- Identify opportunities for improving productivity, quality and efficiency.
- Support Kaizen, 5S, Poka-Yoke and other improvement activities.
- Reduce assembly time, rejection, rework, material wastage and unnecessary movement.

- Achievement of daily/monthly production targets.
- Effective utilization and supervision of manpower.
- Maintaining assembly quality and reducing rejection/rework.
- Proper availability and utilization of components and materials.
- Compliance with SOPs and production processes.
- Maintaining 5S, safety and discipline on the assembly line.
- Accurate and timely production reporting.
- Improvement in productivity and line efficiency.
- Reduction of material wastage and production losses.

Required Qualification & Experience

- Qualification: B.Tech in Mechanical, Electrical, Production or relevant field.
- Experience: 1–3 years in assembly/production supervision, preferably in switches, sockets, electrical products or similar manufacturing industry.
- Should have experience in handling shop-floor manpower and production targets.
- Basic knowledge of quality systems, 5S and production documentation is preferred.

Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹20,000.00 per month
