Job Summary

The Concrete Pump Operator is responsible for operating and maintaining the concrete pump used for the secure and efficient placement of ready-mix concrete at construction sites. The operator must ensure proper pump operation, smooth concrete flow, equipment safety, and timely coordination with the batching plant and site team.

Key Responsibilities

- Operate concrete pumps safely and efficiently as per project requirements.
- Check the pump, pipelines, hoses, valves, and related equipment before operation.
- Ensure proper positioning and setup of the concrete pump at the site.
- Coordinate with the batching plant, transit mixer drivers, site engineers, and supervisors for continuous concrete supply.
- Monitor concrete flow and pressure during pumping operations.
- Prevent blockages in pipelines and take appropriate action in case of pump blockage.
- Clean and flush the pump, pipelines, and equipment after completion of work.
- Carry out routine inspection, lubrication, and basic maintenance of the pump.
- Immediately report equipment faults, leakage, unusual noise, or pressure problems to the supervisor.
- Follow all safety procedures, PPE requirements, and site safety instructions.
- Maintain proper records of pumping hours, concrete quantity pumped,



and equipment issues.
- Ensure the pump and accessories are kept clean and in good working condition.
- Assist the maintenance team during servicing and repairs when required.
- Follow instructions from the Plant Manager/Site Engineer and complete assigned work within the required time.

Required Skills & Qualifications

- Minimum 2–5 years of experience in operating concrete pumps, preferably in a ready-mix concrete or construction environment.
- Knowledge of concrete pumping operations and equipment.
- Basic understanding of pump maintenance and troubleshooting.
- Ability to identify and handle pipeline blockages safely.
- Good coordination and communication skills.
- Physically fit and able to work at construction sites.
- Knowledge of workplace health and safety procedures.
- Valid driving/operator licence or certification, where applicable.

Pay: ₹12,000.00 - ₹25,000.00 per month
