- Perform DNA and RNA extraction from various sample matrices.
- Conduct PCR, RT-PCR, Real-Time PCR (qPCR), Multiplex PCR, and other molecular biology techniques as per validated methods.
- Prepare reagents, buffers, primers, probes, and master mixes.
- Perform nucleic acid quantification and quality assessment.
- Lead and manage the Microbiology Department, including analysts and laboratory staff.
- Plan, allocate, and monitor daily molecular and microbiological testing activities.
- Perform and supervise molecular and microbiological analysis of food and related matrices as per approved SOPs and standard methods.
- Analyze and interpret molecular and microbiology test results accurately.
- Maintain complete laboratory records, worksheets, and electronic data.
- Follow ISO/IEC 17025, GLP, GMP, and laboratory SOPs.
- Participate in method verification, validation, and uncertainty studies.




- Ensure proper calibration and routine maintenance of laboratory instruments.
- Participate in internal quality control (IQC), proficiency testing (PT), and inter-laboratory comparison (ILC) programs.
- Maintain sample traceability and confidentiality.
- Ensure compliance with biosafety practices and waste disposal procedures.
- Support NABL, FSSAI, APEDA, BIS, customer, and regulatory audits.
- Coordinate with QA for CAPA implementation and documentation.
- Assist in developing and revising SOPs and technical documents.
- Train junior analysts and laboratory trainees whenever required.
