Java-Based Core Banking Application Product Support Engineer

Location: Bangalore/Mumbai

Role Summary

We are seeking a mid-level Java-Based Core Banking Application Product Support Engineer to support, troubleshoot, and maintain enterprise core banking applications. The role involves incident resolution, defect analysis and coordination with business, technology, and vendor teams.

Key Responsibilities

- Provide support for Java-based core banking applications
- Analyze, troubleshoot, and resolve application issues related to Java, REST APIs, Oracle SQL/PLSQL, batch processing, integrations, and core banking workflows.
- Support incident, problem, and change management processes in alignment with defined ITIL practices.
- Investigate logs, database issues, interface failures, batch job errors, and application server issues.
- Support application deployments, patching, release validation, smoke testing, and rollback planning.
- Perform root cause analysis and document corrective/preventive actions.
- Ensure compliance with bank technology, security, audit, and change control standards.

Required Skills and Experience

- 4–7 years of experience in application support, production support, or software engineering.
- Hands-on experience supporting Java/J2EE-based enterprise applications and valuable coding and problem-solving experience on Java based applications
- Strong knowledge of Oracle SQL and PLSQL, including procedures, functions, triggers,



and query troubleshooting.
- Experience with REST/SOAP APIs, XML, JSON, and application integration troubleshooting.
- Working knowledge of core banking platforms, banking operations, or financial services applications.
- Familiarity with batch jobs, schedulers, file processing, and interface support.
- Strong analytical, communication, and documentation skills.

Preferred Skills

- Experience with Oracle FLEXCUBE or similar core banking platforms.
- Knowledge of deposits, payments, loans, customer information, account servicing, or transaction processing.
- Exposure to DevOps tools such as Git, Jenkins, Bitbucket, Jira, ServiceNow, or CI/CD pipelines.
- Basic understanding of cloud platforms, containers, or microservices architecture.
- Experience supporting high-availability, mission-critical banking applications.
- Ability to analyze application logs using tools such as Splunk, ELK, AppDynamics, Dynatrace, or similar monitoring tools.
- Experience with application servers such as WebLogic, Tomcat, or similar platforms.

Work Environment

- Must be comfortable working in a fast-paced banking technology environment.
- May require participation in on-call support and release windows.
- Must follow enterprise security, compliance, and audit requirements.

Note: Priority would be resources who can join immediately or max 30 days’ notice period.
