Key Responsibilities:

- Server Management: Manage and maintain Linux servers, ensuring security, availability, and performance.
- System Administration: Perform system configuration, software installation, updates, and patch management.
- Security: Implement and maintain security measures, including firewalls, intrusion detection, and access controls.
- Performance Optimization: Monitor server performance, identify bottlenecks, and implement optimizations.
- Backup and Recovery: Set up and manage server backups and disaster recovery plans to ensure data integrity.
- Troubleshooting: Investigate and resolve server-related issues, collaborating with cross-functional teams as needed.
- User Management: Administer user accounts, permissions, and access controls on Linux servers.
- Compliance: Ensure server configurations and practices adhere to industry standards and regulatory requirements.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate documentation of server configurations, procedures, and best practices.
- Automation: Develop and implement automation scripts and tools to streamline server administration tasks.
- Technical Leadership:



Provide guidance and mentorship to junior administrators, sharing best practices and technical knowledge.

Qualifications:

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (Master's preferred)
- Proven experience as a Linux Server Administrator, with expertise in managing Linux-based server environments
- Proficiency in Linux server administration (CentOS, Ubuntu, Red Hat)
- Solid knowledge of server security best practices and experience with security tools
- Scripting skills (Bash, Python) for automation tasks
- Experience with virtualization and containerization technologies (VMware, Docker) is a plus
- Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
- Strong communication and teamwork abilities
- Relevant certifications (Linux Professional Institute Certification, Red Hat Certified Engineer) are a plus
