About the Role
We are looking for an ELV Design Engineer to join our engineering team and support the design and documentation of low-current and ELV systems for commercial and building projects.
The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in ELV system design, AutoCAD, Revit/BIM, technical drawings, and project coordination, with the ability to turn project requirements into accurate, practical, and coordinated designs.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop detailed ELV system designs, layouts, schematics, and technical drawings based on project requirements.
- Prepare and update AutoCAD drawings and Revit/BIM models for ELV systems.
- Design and coordinate drawings for systems such as:
- CCTV & Video Surveillance
- Access Control
- Structured Cabling
- Intercom
- Public Address / Voice Evacuation
- SMATV / IPTV
- Audio Visual systems
- Other low-current and ELV systems
- Review project specifications, drawings, and requirements and translate them into design solutions.
- Coordinate ELV designs with architectural, electrical, mechanical, and other building services.
- Prepare equipment layouts, cable routing, schematic diagrams, riser diagrams, and other required technical documentation.
- Incorporate design revisions and resolve drawing/coordination issues.
- Assist with material/equipment selection and prepare BOQs and technical submittals when required.
- Review drawings for accuracy,
completeness, constructability, and compliance with project requirements.
- Coordinate with project engineers, consultants, site teams, and other stakeholders when required.
- Maintain organized project drawings, design documents, and revisions.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Electronics & Communication Engineering (ECE), Electrical & Electronics Engineering (EEE), or a related engineering discipline.
- 2+ years of relevant experience in ELV / low-current system design.
- Strong working knowledge of AutoCAD.
- Experience with Revit / BIM and ELV modelling is preferred.
- Good understanding of ELV systems, layouts, schematics, cable pathways, and design documentation.
- Ability to read and interpret architectural, MEP, and engineering drawings.
- Understanding of ELV design standards, practices, and project requirements.
- Valuable coordination and communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage drawing revisions.
- Ability to work independently as well as collaborate with engineering and project teams.
