Key Responsibilities:

Testing & Automation:

- Design and implement backend test automation and quality standards.
- Conduct manual verification of backend applications and API testing.
- Assist engineers in writing automation tests and maintain healthy pipelines.
- Build contract testing using tools like Pact, Postman, Cypress.

Collaboration & Mentorship:

- Work closely with backend engineers and managers to define QA best practices.
- Mentor junior engineers and act as a subject matter expert.
- Influence QA methodology and workflow improvements across the organization.

CI/CD & Observability:

- Optimize testing workflows in CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, CloudBees).
- Use observability tools like Kibana and Datadog for monitoring test coverage.
- Set up synthetic monitoring to simulate user behavior on live services.

Leadership & Strategy:

- Estimate, prioritize, plan, and coordinate testing activities.
- Lead code/design reviews and contribute to process improvements.
- Suggest technologies to enhance QA effectiveness.
