We are looking for an experienced MEP Project Engineer to manage and coordinate the execution of Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) works at construction/project sites. The candidate will be responsible for site execution, technical coordination, contractor management, quality control, progress monitoring, and ensuring that MEP works are completed as per approved drawings, specifications, safety requirements, and project schedules.
- Plan, supervise, and coordinate day-to-day MEP works at the project site.
- Ensure execution of mechanical, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, fire-fighting, and other MEP systems as applicable.
- Ensure works are carried out as per approved drawings, specifications, BOQ, and project requirements.
- Monitor site progress and ensure timely completion of assigned activities.
- Coordinate with civil and architectural teams to avoid clashes and execution delays.
- Supervise subcontractors, technicians, electricians, plumbers, HVAC technicians, and other site personnel.
- Allocate daily work and monitor productivity.
- Ensure proper installation, testing, and commissioning of MEP systems.
- Monitor material usage and ensure materials are installed as per approved specifications.
- Conduct regular site inspections and identify defective or incomplete works.
- Prepare and monitor daily, weekly, and monthly MEP work schedules.
- Track project progress against the approved project programme.
- Prepare daily progress reports and update project management regarding site status.
- Identify delays, constraints, and resource requirements and report them to the Project Manager.
- Coordinate manpower, materials, tools, and equipment required for project execution.
- Ensure MEP installations comply with approved drawings, specifications, applicable standards, and project quality requirements.
- Conduct inspections and coordinate with QA/QC teams for inspections and approvals.
- Prepare and maintain inspection requests, checklists, test reports, and quality documentation.
- Ensure proper testing and commissioning of completed MEP systems.
- Coordinate rectification of defects and ensure closure of inspection observations.
- Prepare material requirements based on project progress and BOQ.
- Coordinate with procurement teams for timely availability of MEP materials.
- Verify delivered materials against approved specifications and purchase requirements.
- Monitor subcontractor performance and ensure compliance with project timelines and quality standards.
- Review subcontractor work progress and provide necessary technical guidance.
- Coordinate testing and commissioning of MEP systems.
- Ensure testing procedures are followed as per project specifications and applicable standards.
- Review test results and coordinate corrective actions where required.
- Assist in preparation of commissioning reports and handover documentation.
- Ensure all MEP activities are carried out in accordance with project HSE and safety requirements.
- Coordinate with the safety team to ensure safe working practices.
- Ensure proper use of PPE and protected handling of tools, equipment, and materials.
- Report unsafe conditions and incidents immediately.
- Maintain updated records of drawings, site instructions, inspection reports, test reports, and project documentation.
- Prepare and maintain as-built drawings and MEP handover documents.
- Support preparation of operation and maintenance manuals.
- Assist in final inspection, snagging, rectification, and project handover.
- Strong knowledge of MEP installation, coordination, testing, and commissioning.
- Good understanding of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, fire-fighting, and related building services.
- Ability to read and interpret MEP drawings and technical specifications.
- Knowledge of AutoCAD; knowledge of Revit/BIM will be an advantage.
- Good knowledge of MS Office and project reporting.
- Strong site coordination and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage subcontractors and site teams.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet project deadlines.
Pay: ₹30,000.00 - ₹55,000.00 per month
