Job Description – Cyber Forensics Specialist

Job Summary

Looking for an Cyber Forensics Specialist with strong knowledge and hands-on expertise in digital forensics, cyber investigations, Dark Web analysis, OSINT, and incident response activities.

Key Responsibilities

- Perform acquisition, preservation, examination, and analysis of digital evidence.

- Conduct forensic investigations for endpoints, servers, mobile devices, cloud environments, and networks.

- Analyze cyber incidents including malware infections, phishing attacks, ransomware, and unauthorized access.

- Prepare forensic reports, chain of custody documentation, and evidence presentation.

- Support cybercrime investigations and law enforcement requirements.

- Perform threat intelligence, OSINT, dark web investigations, and cryptocurrency tracing.

- Conduct audio, image, and video authenticity verification and enhancement.

- Analyze logs, network traffic, CDR/IPDR/TDR records, and email headers.

- Support incident response, threat hunting, and cyber investigation activities.

- Maintain confidentiality and integrity of digital evidence.

- Stay updated with latest cyber threats, forensic techniques, and investigation methodologies.

Digital & Disk Forensics

- Windows, Linux, and Mac forensics

- File system analysis, deleted data recovery, timeline analysis

- Tools: EnCase, FTK, Autopsy, Magnet AXIOM

Workstation & Imaging

- Forensic imaging and write blockers

- Disk cloning, hash verification, chain of custody

Mobile & IoT Forensics

- Android/iOS acquisition and analysis

- Tools: Cellebrite, Oxygen, XRY, MOBILedit

Network Analysis

- Packet and traffic analysis

- Tools: Wireshark, TCPDump, Zeek, Network Miner

Password Recovery





- Password cracking and recovery

- Tools: Hashcat, Passware, John the Ripper

Audio / Image / Video Forensics

- Audio authentication and enhancement

- CCTV/DVR video enhancement and analysis

- Tools: Amped FIVE, DVR Examiner, Adobe Audition

Social Media / OSINT

- Digital footprint and social media investigation

- Tools: Maltego, SpiderFoot, Recon-ng, Shodan

Email & APK Analysis

- Phishing and email header analysis

- Android APK reverse engineering and malware analysis

- Tools: MobSF, JADX, APKTool, Frida

Dark Web & Cryptocurrency Investigation

- TOR/Dark Web investigation

- Blockchain and crypto transaction tracing

- Tools: Chainalysis, TRM Labs, CipherTrace

Cloud / Drone / Telecom Forensics

- Cloud investigation (AWS, Azure, O365)

- Drone data extraction and analysis

- CDR/IPDR/TDR analysis and correlation

Cryptocurrency Investigation

- Blockchain transaction tracing and wallet analysis.

- Experience with:

- - Chainalysis

- TRM Labs

- CipherTrace

-  Knowledge of crypto fraud and laundering investigation techniques.

Web Application Security

- OWASP Top 10 awareness

- Tools: Burp Suite, OWASP ZAP

Preferred Certifications

- CHFI

- GCFA / GCFE

- EnCE

- CEH

- CFCE

- Cellebrite Certified Operator (CCO)

Educational Qualification

Bachelor’s Degree in Cyber Security, Computer Science, IT, Digital Forensics, or related field.

Preferred Profile

- Solid analytical and investigation skills

- Experience with SOC/CERT/Law Enforcement environments

- Good reporting and documentation skills

- Understanding of cyber laws and evidence handling procedures
