Job Description: QA Lead (Manual & Automation Testing)

About the Role
We are looking for an experienced and proactive QA Lead to lead our Quality Assurance team and drive the overall testing strategy across multiple projects. The ideal candidate should have strong hands-on experience in both Manual and Automation Testing, along with proven experience managing and mentoring QA teams. This role requires a balance of technical expertise, leadership, and collaboration with cross-functional teams to ensure the delivery of high-quality software products.

Key Responsibilities

Collaborate with Developers, Product Owners and Scrum Masters to ensure quality throughout the SDLC.
Lead and mentor the QA team Define and implement QA strategies, standards and best practices.
Plan, estimate and allocate testing activities across multiple projects and sprints.
Review business requirements, user stories and acceptance criteria to ensure testability.
Design, review and execute test plans, test cases and test scenarios.
Coordinate Functional, Regression, Integration, System, UAT and Smoke Testing.
Drive defect management by ensuring timely identification, prioritization, tracking, and closure.
Collaborate with Developers, Product Owners and Scrum Masters to ensure quality throughout the SDLC.
Participate in Sprint Planning, Daily Stand-ups, Backlog Refinement, Sprint Reviews and Retrospectives.
Monitor QA metrics such as defect leakage, test coverage, execution progress and release readiness.
Identify opportunities for automation and work with the team to improve test efficiency. Ensure release quality through risk assessment and Go/No-Go recommendations. Support production validation and post-release verification.
Continuously improve QA processes,



documentation, and quality standards.

Required Technical Skills & Qualifications

Required Technical Skills :

Manual Testing

Strong experience in Functional, Regression, Integration, System, Smoke, Sanity, User Acceptance and End-to-End (E2E) Testing.
Experience in creating Test Plans, Test Strategies, Test Scenarios, Test Cases, Test Execution, and Test Summary Reports.
Strong understanding of Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC), Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), and Agile/Scrum methodologies.
Test Management & Defect Tracking : Hands-on experience with Test Management tools such as Azure DevOps (ADO), Jira, TestRail, HP ALM, or similar.
Strong experience in Defect Tracking and Defect Lifecycle Management using Azure DevOps, Jira, or equivalent tools.
API & Database Testing
Experience in API Testing using Postman, Swagger, or similar tools.
Strong SQL knowledge for database validation and backend testing.

Automation Testing

Hands-on experience with UI Automation tools such as Selenium, Playwright, Cypress or similar automation frameworks.
Understanding of automation framework design, test script development, and automation best practices.
Performance Testing Basic to intermediate experience in Performance and Load Testing using Apache JMeter or equivalent tools.
CI/CD & Version Control Experience integrating automated tests with Azure DevOps Pipelines, Jenkins, GitHub Actions,



or similar CI/CD tools.
Proficiency with Git for source code management and collaboration.Good-to-Have Skills Experience with WebdriverIO (WDIO).
Programming knowledge in JavaScript and/or TypeScript.
Experience using the Mocha testing framework.
Knowledge of Node.js and npm.
Experience implementing the Page Object Model (POM) design pattern.
Experience with Allure Reports for automation reporting.
Strong understanding of XPath and CSS Selectors.
Experience in Cross-Browser Testing across Chrome, Microsoft Edge, and Firefox. Experience implementing Data-Driven Testing using CSV, JSON, Excel, or similar data sources.

Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
8–10 years of experience in Software Testing, including both Manual and Automation Testing.
Minimum 2–3 years of experience leading or managing a QA team.
