Role Overview
Responsible for sourcing, purchasing, and coordinating delivery of all materials required across ongoing interior projects, ensuring quality, cost control, and timely site availability. Also responsible for managing labour contractors (thekedars) across trades, ensuring manpower availability and arranging replacements if work is delayed.

Key Responsibilities

- Source and purchase materials required for ongoing projects
- Identify, evaluate, and maintain a reliable vendor/supplier base
- Negotiate pricing, payment terms, and delivery schedules with vendors
- Prepare and issue purchase orders in line with project BOQs
- Coordinate delivery schedules with site teams to avoid work stoppages
- Inspect incoming materials for quality and specification compliance
- Maintain stock/inventory records for the factory and active sites
- Track material costs against project budgets and flag overruns
- Maintain contact details of labour contractors (thekedars) across trades, with backup contractors for each
- Assign labour contractors to sites based on requirement; if a contractor is not performing or delaying work, contact and deploy an alternate contractor immediately
- Visit sites when needed to verify material and labour requirements




- Coordinate with the Aluminium Window & Facade Engineer and site supervisors to align procurement and manpower with project timelines
- Maintain vendor and contractor rate contracts and explore cost-saving opportunities

Required Skills

- Knowledge of construction/interior materials
- Robust network of labour contractors across trades, with backup options for each
- Strong negotiation and vendor/contractor management skills
- Quick decision-making to arrange alternate manpower without delaying site work
- Familiarity with BOQs, purchase orders, and basic inventory management
- MS Excel proficiency; ERP/procurement software exposure is a plus
- Good coordination skills across factory, site, contractors, and client-facing teams

Qualifications

- B.E./Diploma in Civil/Mechanical Engineering, or B.Com/MBA with relevant procurement experience
- Prior experience in construction/interior materials procurement and labour coordination preferred
- Solid local network in and around project locations is a plus

Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹50,000.00 per month
