- Position Specific duties : Provide SAP Basis Administration Support for SAP upgrades/migrations, new system builds, database activities (copy/cloning, partitioning, space utilization) and system performance.
- Have advanced knowledge of SAP database platforms (backup/recovery, DB utilities.)
- Provide problem determination and resolution.
- Serve as the SAP Basis Subject Matter Expert for certain SAP systems (S4 HANA, SAP Content Server, Netweaver Gateway, PI)
- Work with other SAP technical and functional teams on projects, problem resolution and process improvement
- Investigate and install new software releases and system maintenance
- Strong desire to improve product through monitoring, automation and efficiencies.
- Lead and participate on small to medium sized projects
- Develop internal processes and procedures to conform to changing software or business requirements.
- Work closely with our AMS counterparts across the world to ensure quality and timeliness of work and participate in on-call rotations.
- Strong problem resolution/analytical skills required to understand complex system interactions.
- Ability to apply and modify internal processes and procedures to conform to changing software or business requirements.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills and ability to work with cross-functional team members.
- Ability to make changes to existing processes, coordinate and communicate changes to multiple technical and/or functional teams to fit current/changing business requirements. Teach others.

- Required skill : Understanding of SAP Basis Administration and Infrastructure concepts
- At least 8 to 10 years of experience in an IT discipline.
- System Administration and/or other relevant technical experience.
- Strong problem resolution/analytical skills required to understand complex system interactions.
- Experience working in a high availability environment.
- Basic experience with database like HANA/MaxDB
- Basic experience with scripting and automation using Python, Shell or similar technology.
- Ability to solve complex problems, apply and modify internal processes and procedures to conform to changing software or business requirements.
- 7 to 10 years of hands-on experience with SAP Basis.
- Some Hands-on experience with Linux Fundamentals
- Project Management experience.
- SAP Technical or Functional experience
- Clound architecture like AWS understanding / Overall integration concepts understanding.
- Other expectations
- Resource should be ready to work on on call support whenever needed.
- Willingness and ability to travel up to 25%.
- Ability to work off-shift hours to support the business.
- Resource needs to work out of John Deere Pune-TCI, unless told otherwise by John Deere.
- Ability to learn other technologies like SAP Basis / LAMA / AWS whenever needed
- Maintain good synergy between technical as well as business team.
- Resource should be team player.
- Desired Experience : At least 8 - 10 years of experience in an IT discipline.
- 7 to 10 years of hands-on experience with SAP HANA, SAP Basis.
- Education : BE/Btech/MTEch/MCA
