Technical Project Manager – VoIP / Telecom

Experience: 6–7 Years
Project Management Experience: Minimum 3 Years
Qualification: Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering / Computer Science / IT or related field

Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Technical Project Manager with hands-on VoIP/Telecom development experience to manage end-to-end telecom and VoIP projects. The ideal candidate should have previously built VoIP systems and progressed into project management.

Key Responsibilities

- Manage VoIP projects from planning to deployment and post-implementation support.

- Gather client requirements and convert them into actionable project plans.

- Prepare project schedules, milestones and resource allocation.

- Coordinate Development, QA, DevOps, Support and Infrastructure teams.

- Track project progress, timelines, budgets and deliverables.

- Conduct project kickoffs, status meetings and client reviews.

- Identify project risks and implement mitigation plans.

- Manage scope changes and project documentation.

- Coordinate UAT and production rollout.

- Communicate with stakeholders and international clients.

- Support pre-sales through effort estimation and project planning.





- Use AI and project-management tools for efficient documentation, estimation and reporting.

Required Technical Skills

- Hands-on VoIP/Telecom development experience with FreeSWITCH, Asterisk or Kamailio.

- Robust knowledge of SIP, RTP, WebRTC, SBC and IP Telephony.

- Agile/Scrum methodology.

- Linux server knowledge.

- Basic TCP/IP, NAT and Firewall knowledge.

- Exposure to AWS/Azure/GCP and REST APIs is an advantage.

Candidate Profile

- 6–7 years of overall IT experience.

- Minimum 3 years of project management experience.

- Prior hands-on VoIP/Telecom development experience is mandatory.

- Experience managing VoIP/Telecom software projects.

- International client exposure (UK/US/Europe/Middle East) preferred.

- PMP, PRINCE2 or CSM certification preferred.

- Strong communication, leadership, problem-solving and decision-making skills.

- Proactive, ownership-driven and deadline-oriented.
