Associate (5-10+ years experience)

UHA is seeking creative Associate Architects with experience in mixed-use, residential and commercial projects to join our growing team. Successful candidates will work in-office with our team in Mumbai and remotely with our global design teams, taking a leading role in the autonomous coordination of projects and project teams.

Essential Requirements

- Completion of accredited Bachelor's degree in Architecture
- 5-10+ years of professional experience working in the field of Architecture and Masterplanning
- Experience in all stages of design and construction administration of residential and commercial developments, including tall buildings, particularly in an Indian context
- Strong design skills, particularly in inception through to GFCs (and beyond)
- Demonstrated ability to work autonomously, taking decisions that shape project outcomes
- Proven track record leading a small project team (1–2 people)
- Sound commercial awareness,



with an understanding of how project delivery supports company goals and budget
- Proven and demonstrable communication, organisational and interpersonal skills
- Comprehensive knowledge of AutoCAD, Rhino, Revit and Adobe Suite (PS, AI & ID)
- Ability to multi-task with an enduring commitment to timelines and deadlines

Responsibilities

- Develop residential planning layouts, 3D models, presentation decks, and design documents
- Produce construction documentation, including detailing, schedules, and specifications
- Coordinate building design intent, style, and updates with internal team members, including global offices
- Review and integrate input from external engineers, consultants, and client bodies
- Manage day-to-day project operations, task delegation, and timeline execution

Nice-to-have

- Experience working for an international design studio
- LEED AP or IGBC AP credentials
- Valuable working knowledge of Vaastu in residential design
- Working knowledge of ArchiCAD and Grasshopper would be advantageous
