Role: Technical Hardware Engineer – IT Office Hardware Portfolio

Role Overview

We are looking for a Technical Hardware Engineer to manage the technical lifecycle of DaaS office devices, including desktops, laptops, monitors and accessories. The role involves service provider management, quality assurance, OEM coordination and ensuring reliable device operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Define technical roadmap, strategy and lifecycle for office hardware portfolio
• Manage and monitor external service providers, deliverables and quality
• Coordinate Global Hardware Lab (GHL) activities, certifications, BIOS and driver updates
• Define technical specifications and minimum requirements for PCs, laptops, monitors & accessories
• Track risks, issues and escalations impacting device stability




• Conduct market research on emerging hardware technologies and products
• Manage relationships with OEMs such as HP, Lenovo, Dell, Intel, AMD, Acer and Asus
• Collaborate with global teams, especially colleagues in Germany

Required Skills

• Strong hands-on technical knowledge of PCs, laptops and monitors
• Experience in IT infrastructure / office hardware environments
• Service provider/vendor management experience
• Hardware lifecycle and governance management
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft 365 / MS Office
• Positive communication, coordination and analytical skills
• Ability to identify hardware trends and technical risks

Qualification

Degree in Electrical, Electronics, Communication Engineering, IT or Information Systems, or equivalent technical IT background.
