pharmaceutical chemical analyst (or analytical/QC chemist) tests raw materials, active pharmaceutical ingredients (APIs), and finished drug products to ensure safety, quality, and purity.Key ResponsibilitiesSample Testing: Perform routine and non-routine physical and chemical testing on raw materials, intermediates, and finished dosage forms.Instrument Operation: Use advanced analytical equipment like HPLC, GC, UV-Vis, and FTIR.Assays & Profiling: Conduct assays, impurity profiling, dissolution testing, and stability studies.Compliance & Documentation: Record data strictly following Positive Laboratory Practice (GLP) and current Good Manufacturing Practice (cGMP) guidelines.Method Support: Assist in analytical method development, validation, and instrument calibration.Required Qualifications & SkillsEducation: M.Sc. or B.Sc. in Chemistry, Analytical Chemistry, or Pharmaceutical Chemistry.Technical Skills: Hands-on experience with chromatographic and spectroscopic techniques.Regulatory Knowledge: Familiarity with pharmacopeial standards (IP, USP, BP, EP) and ICH guidelines.Soft Skills: Strong attention to detail, accurate calculation abilities, and problem-solving skills.
