Position Summary

The Product Owner will own and drive product delivery for the FX wire initiation lifecycle, partnering with business, operations,

technology, compliance, treasury and QA teams. The role requires strong hands-on knowledge of FX wires, cross-border payments,

SWIFT / ISO 20022 messaging, correspondent banking, payment exceptions, settlement and reconciliation. The Product Owner will

translate business needs into prioritized backlog items, user stories, acceptance criteria and release-ready requirements.

Key Responsibilities

Own and prioritize the product backlog for FX wire initiation and related payment enhancements.

Define business requirements, user stories, acceptance criteria, process flows and product decisions.

Work across operations, technology, compliance, treasury and testing teams to align scope, dependencies and delivery priorities.

Support end-to-end FX wire flows including initiation, validation, FX rate booking, beneficiary setup, routing, screening, settlement,

repair and reconciliation.

Provide SME input on SWIFT MT, ISO 20022, Fedwire, CHIPS, correspondent banking and payment investigation scenarios.

Drive UAT readiness, defect triage, business sign-off, release readiness and post-production validation.

Identify opportunities to improve STP, reduce operational friction, strengthen controls and improve client / user experience.

Required Experience

5+ years of experience in payments, transaction banking, treasury services, or financial services product delivery.

Strong experience in FX wires, cross-border payments, international wires, or wire platform modernization.

Good understanding of payment initiation, FX booking, payment routing, sanctions screening, settlement, exceptions and

reconciliation.

Experience working as Product Owner, Product BA, Payments SME,



or similar role in Agile delivery environments.

Ability to manage backlog priorities, write explicit user stories, define acceptance criteria and drive stakeholder alignment.

Strong communication skills with ability to simplify complex payment flows for business and technology teams.

Preferred Skills

Exposure to payment platforms such as ACI, FIS, Finastra, Volante, CGI, Fiserv, or bank-proprietary wire platforms.

Experience with ISO 20022 migration, payment hub modernization, treasury portals, or wire platform transformation.

Working knowledge of JIRA, Confluence, Visio, Excel, SQL and process mapping tools.

CSPO, SAFe, CBAP, CSM, or payments-related certification preferred.
