Demonstrated ownership of network, database, middleware, cloud and security functions. Proven hiring and team building at scale. Preferred Prior experience transitioning functions into a Global Capability Centre from an offshore parent organisation. PowerCARD or comparable payments platform exposure. PCI DSS and ISO 27001 audit experience. EMPLOYMENT MISSION Lead the build-out and running of the HPS India infrastructure organisation in Pune, taking end-to-end ownership of Network & Security, Database Administration, Middleware & DevOps, Cloud Engineering, Key Management and SecOps for the PowerCARD platform. The role covers hiring and capability building, transition of functions from Casablanca, design and operation of the support model, and delivery of infrastructure services to agreed KPIs across both PowerCARD V3.5.4 and V4.0.
PURPOSES OF EMPLOYMENT IL001 Build and lead the India infrastructure organisation • Recruit, onboard and develop 13 engineers across six infrastructure sub-teams • Author and maintain role profiles consistent with HPS job-code grading • Ensure no sub-team runs single-threaded; escalate and drive backfill where it does • Develop technical depth and succession within each sub-team • Own performance management, career development and retention for the team IL002 Own the transition of infrastructure functions from Casablanca • Plan and execute the KT, Shadow, Reverse Shadow, Reverse KT and Sign-off cycle for each function • Confirm documentation prerequisites are complete before knowledge transfer begins • Secure and track committed SME availability against the agreed hours per function • Apply criteria-based sign-off; extend a cycle where competence is not yet demonstrated • Coordinate the formal vendor training track alongside knowledge transfer IL003 Design and operate the support model • Define and run the shift structure, on-call rotation and escalation path • Own severity definitions and response commitments in coordination with HQ • Track out-of-hours call volume as the evidence base for capacity decisions • Ensure monitoring visibility, runbooks and emergency access are in place before each go-live • Act as standing second-level escalation for major incidents IL004 Deliver infrastructure services to agreed performance standards • Own infrastructure KPIs — availability, incident volume and resolution time, patch compliance, vulnerability closure • Maintain the build-versus-run balance, keeping run activity within the agreed proportion of engineering days • Drive automation and toil reduction as measured objectives, not discretionary work • Ensure PCI DSS and ISO compliance obligations are met across the infrastructure perimeter • Carry the interim Infrastructure Project Management load until that function is converted IL005 Represent India infrastructure to global stakeholders • Report progress,
