CMM Engineer - Renishaw MODUS Programmer

Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled CMM Engineer with hands-on experience in Renishaw MODUS programming and Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMM). The candidate will be responsible for developing inspection programs, performing dimensional measurements, validating product quality, and supporting manufacturing and quality assurance activities.

Key Responsibilities

- Develop, modify, and optimize CMM inspection programs using Renishaw MODUS software.
- Perform dimensional inspection of components using CMMs and other precision measuring equipment.
- Interpret engineering drawings, GD&T;, and customer specifications.
- Analyse inspection results and prepare detailed measurement reports.
- Conduct First Article Inspection (FAI), PPAP, and capability studies.
- Troubleshoot CMM hardware, probes, fixtures, and measurement issues.
- Support production teams in root cause analysis and corrective actions.
- Validate measurement methods and ensure compliance with quality standards.
- Maintain calibration records and ensure adherence to quality procedures.
- Coordinate with Manufacturing, Quality, Design, and Customer teams for inspection requirements.

Required Skills





- Strong experience in Renishaw MODUS Programming.
- Hands-on experience with Renishaw or other CMM platforms.
- Positive knowledge of:
- GD&T; (ASME Y14.5)
- Engineering drawings and tolerancing
- SPC and MSA
- Inspection planning and reporting
- Knowledge of manufacturing processes such as machining, casting, or aerospace component inspection.
- Ability to troubleshoot measurement and alignment issues.
- Good communication and analytical skills.

Qualifications

- Diploma/B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering, Production Engineering, or related field.
- 2 to 5+ years of experience in CMM programming and dimensional metrology.
- Certification in GD&T; and CMM programming is preferred.

Preferred Experience

- Renishaw MODUS Offline Programming.
- Equator gauging systems.
- Aerospace, Automotive, Precision Engineering, or Medical Device industries.
- Experience with quality systems such as ISO 9001, AS9100, or IATF 16949.
