Key Responsibilities
Monitor and inspect civil construction activities to ensure compliance with approved drawings and specifications.
Conduct quality inspections for excavation, earthwork, concrete, RCC, masonry, road works, pipelines, and related civil works.
Inspect incoming construction materials and verify their quality and required test certificates.
Coordinate and supervise laboratory testing of cement, aggregates, concrete, soil, steel, and other construction materials.
Conduct and maintain records of field tests such as slump tests, cube tests, soil compaction tests, and other applicable tests.
Ensure that construction activities comply with relevant IS codes, project specifications, and approved Quality Assurance/Quality Control (QA/QC) procedures.
Prepare and maintain Inspection Requests (IR), Material Inspection Reports (MIR), Test Reports, Checklists, and Quality Records.
Identify quality issues and coordinate with site engineers and project managers for corrective and preventive actions.
Monitor concrete pouring activities, including mix design, batching, transportation, placement, compaction, and curing.
Verify reinforcement, formwork, levels, dimensions, and alignment before concrete works.
Conduct regular site inspections and prepare quality inspection reports.
Coordinate with consultants, client representatives, contractors, and site teams during inspections.
Ensure proper documentation and traceability of quality-related activities.
Raise and follow up on Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs)
wherever required.
Ensure corrective actions are implemented and closed within the specified timeframe.
Assist in preparing project Quality Control Plans (QCP), Inspection and Test Plans (ITP), and Method Statements.
Maintain records of test results, approvals, inspections, and quality documentation.
Support internal and external quality audits.
Ensure compliance with safety and quality procedures at the project site.
Required Qualifications
BE/B.Tech/Diploma in Civil Engineering.
Experience in civil construction quality control/QA-QC is preferred.
Good knowledge of construction materials and testing procedures.
Knowledge of relevant IS codes and construction specifications.
Experience in preparing quality documentation and inspection reports.
Positive communication and coordination skills.
Ability to work at project sites and coordinate with multiple teams.
Preferred Experience
Candidates with experience in water supply, pipeline, infrastructure, irrigation, road, RCC, or large-scale civil construction projects will be preferred.
