Program Associate

Description:

Kautilya School of Public Policy is looking to hire a Program Associate for MPP, PhD and

Minor in Public Policy programs. The ideal candidate must possess a strong talent for program

coordination and motivation to optimize productivity and nurture program success from

inception to completion. The candidate must be a team player and must be able to demonstrate

the ability to take initiative and lead in collaboration with the Program Manager (MPP). This is a

long-term position with immense potential for personal and qualified growth in the company

of some of the brightest minds India has produced.

Qualifications:

● Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in business management or administration, public policy

or related field. Preference will be given to a Master‘s degree.

● 0 to 2 years of Experience required. Experience in administrative/academic roles in an

academic setting is highly preferred.

● Leadership, time management, communication facilitation, and organizational skills are

required for this role.

● Proven multi-department stakeholder management skills, working knowledge of change

management principles and performance evaluation processes will be an added

advantage.

● Experience with Public Policy placements or internships is a plus but not mandatory.

● Excellent interpersonal skills.

Role and Responsibilities:

● Supporting Program Manager (MPP) in ensuring students are provided with ample

support services, including a thorough understanding of the curriculum and the paths to

graduation.

● Maintain records of students grades, attendance, courses, specialization etc.

● Working on keeping the Learning Management System (LMS) updated and solve all

student related queries regarding the same.

● Managing Social Media Posts on LinkedIn, X and Instagram.





● Supporting the Program Manager (MPP) in coordinating the mentorship program.

● Coordinating with Visiting faculty in scheduling their classes.

● Managing the logistics of various guest lectures.

● Providing students with academic and cultural counseling and easing their adjustment

into the rigorous 2-year residential program. For international students, this role will

include providing appropriate immigration information in coordination with the

admissions team.

● Providing support to Program Manager (MPP) monitoring the program including

identification of key program competencies and gaps thereof for continuous program

improvement.

● Working with Program Manager (MPP) to create term-wise and annual course schedules

and identifying opportunities for incorporating extra-mural and co-curricular activities

and programs.

● Maintaining regular communication with various stakeholders including students,

academic associates, faculty and management in a fast-paced environment that requires

prompt replies and a high level of responsiveness.

● Assisting Program Manager (MPP) in the preparation of reports and requests, including

documentation required to demonstrate compliance with internal and external quality

assurance standards, as well as other UGC-related requests.

● Facilitate connections for student internships, organize interviews, and coordinate campus

hiring.

● Keep organized internship records, compile reports.

● Playing a supportive role in strengthening outreach efforts such as through partnership

agreements, research projects, and consultation requests.

The selected candidate will report directly to the Program Manager (MPP) on all the above.
