About the Role:

We are looking for a

hands-on Technical Delivery Manager with 10+ years of experience building and delivering website applications

.
This role requires deep, hands-on expertise in

PHP, Laravel, MySQL, AWS cloud infrastructure, APIs, and web application architecture

. You must be capable of working directly with the technology, not simply managing developers who do the technical work.
You will be responsible for independently managing the

complete lifecycle of a project

, including client communication, requirements gathering, technical design, development planning, hands-on development, database design, AWS infrastructure, QA, deployment, and production support.
You must be comfortable working directly with US-based clients, understanding their business requirements, translating those requirements into technical solutions, managing development and taking complete ownership of delivery.
This is a hands-on technical role. Candidates whose experience is primarily project management, Scrum management, client coordination, or people management without recent hands-on PHP/Laravel, MySQL, and AWS experience will not be a fit for this position.

Responsibilities:

Work directly with

US-based clients

to gather and clarify requirements, define scope, provide estimates, communicate progress, manage expectations, and resolve issues.
Take complete ownership of projects from

technical design and development through QA, deployment, production support, and successful delivery

.
Work hands-on with

PHP and Laravel

to develop features, review code, debug applications, troubleshoot complex issues, and provide technical guidance to developers.
Design, optimize, and troubleshoot

MySQL databases

and application architecture, including schemas, queries, indexes, APIs, integrations, authentication, caching, queues, security,



performance, and scalability.
Work directly with

AWS cloud infrastructure

, including deployment, configuration, monitoring, troubleshooting, databases, storage, networking, security, and production environments.
Manage and coordinate developers and QA engineers, translate business requirements into technical tasks, evaluate technical approaches, prioritize work, and ensure appropriate engineering and coding standards.
Own the

QA and release process

, including functional, integration, regression, API, automated, UAT, deployment, and production validation.
Investigate and resolve technical and production issues across

PHP/Laravel, MySQL, AWS, APIs, integrations, Git, deployments, and CI/CD

, while identifying technical risks and problems before they impact production.
Manage project timelines, priorities, technical decisions, risks, and communication with clients and internal leadership

without requiring day-to-day supervision

.

Experience & Qualifications:

Minimum 10 years of qualified experience building and delivering websites and web applications

, with strong recent hands-on development experience.
Deep hands-on expertise in

PHP and Laravel

, with the ability to personally develop features, review code, debug applications, troubleshoot production issues, and guide other developers.
Strong hands-on

MySQL

experience, including schema design, complex SQL, indexing, query optimization, transactions, database performance,



and troubleshooting.
Strong hands-on

AWS

experience deploying, configuring, monitoring, and troubleshooting production web applications, including services such as

EC2, RDS, S3, CloudFront, Route 53, IAM, CloudWatch, Lambda, and load balancing

.
Strong knowledge of

REST APIs, third-party integrations, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, authentication, application security, caching, performance optimization, and modern web application architecture

.
Strong understanding of

QA and release methodologies

, including functional, integration, regression, API, automated, performance, UAT, and production testing.
Experience with

Git, branching strategies, pull requests, code reviews, CI/CD, deployments, and production support

.
Significant experience working directly with

U.S.-based clients

, including leading meetings, gathering and challenging requirements, providing estimates, explaining technical decisions, managing expectations, communicating project status, and handling escalations.
Demonstrated experience independently managing the

complete lifecycle of software projects

, including coordinating development and QA teams and managing multiple concurrent projects, priorities, and deadlines without requiring another project manager or technical lead.
Excellent written and verbal English communication skills are a must.

Nice to Have:

Experience integrating

LLMs and generative AI

into production web applications.
Understanding of RAG, embeddings, vector databases, prompt engineering, AI agents, and AI evaluation.
Experience with Python and AI APIs.
Experience with Redis, Docker and containerized application deployment along with automated testing frameworks such as PHPUnit, Playwright, Selenium, similar.
