Jamf L1 Engineer
Position Summary
The Jamf L1 Engineer will provide first-level operational support for macOS endpoint management within the enterprise environment. The engineer will handle device enrollment, policy execution monitoring, troubleshooting, compliance validation, and end-user support related to Jamf-managed devices.
Key Responsibilities
Jamf Administration
- Monitor Jamf Pro console and daily operational activities.
- Assist with macOS device enrollment and provisioning processes.
- Verify successful deployment of applications, profiles, and configurations.
- Monitor policy execution and remediation status.
Incident & Service Request Handling
- Handle Level 1 incidents and service requests related to Jamf-managed devices.
- Troubleshoot common macOS management issues.
- Escalate complex issues to Jamf L2/L3 engineers when necessary.
- Maintain ticket documentation and operational records.
Compliance & Monitoring
- Validate compliance status of managed Apple devices.
- Monitor device inventory and management coverage.
- Ensure devices are actively communicating with Jamf infrastructure.
- Assist with remediation of non-compliant endpoints.
User Support
- Provide support for macOS enrollment and onboarding activities.
- Assist users with application deployment and configuration issues.
- Support enterprise security and management agent installations.
Required Qualifications
- 1-3 years of experience supporting macOS environments.
- Good understanding of Jamf Pro administration.
- Familiarity with Apple Business Manager (ABM).
- Experience troubleshooting macOS devices.
- Customer-focused mindset and solid communication skills.
- Experience using ITSM platforms such as ServiceNow.
Preferred Qualifications
- Jamf 100 or Jamf 170 certification.
- Experience with JamF and Mac management.
- Basic understanding of scripting (Bash or Shell).
- Experience supporting enterprise security agents on macOS.
