- Evaluate and diagnose cataract and other common ophthalmic conditions
- Perform Phacoemulsification cataract surgeries independently as per expertise
- Conduct pre-operative assessment and determine surgical fitness
- Provide appropriate IOL selection and counselling
- Manage pre-operative and post-operative cataract patients
- Monitor surgical outcomes and manage post-operative complications
- Perform minor ophthalmic procedures as per expertise
- Coordinate with OT staff, optometrists and other clinical team members
- Maintain accurate patient records, operative notes and follow-up documentation
- Counsel patients regarding surgery, medication, precautions and follow-up
- Follow infection-control,
OT safety and patient-care protocols
REQUIRED SKILLS
- Strong expertise in Phacoemulsification
- Good cataract evaluation and surgical decision-making skills
- Ability to independently handle routine cataract surgeries
- Good patient counselling and communication skills
- Skilled and patient-centric approach
- Ability to work effectively with the ophthalmology and OT team
