Job Description: Executive / Sr Executive – Topical Product Development

Develop and optimize Topical formulations including creams, ointments, gels, lotions, solutions, sprays and Softgel capsule etc.

Conduct reverse engineering and characterization of Reference Listed Drugs (RLD) to develop robust generic formulation.

Perform pre-formulation studies, including drug-excipient compatibility testing and material characterization.

Select functional excipients intentionally balancing chemical stability, tissue penetration enhancers, rheology modifiers, and patient compliance (sensory elegance).

Execute laboratory-scale batches and establish critical process parameters (CPPs) for manufacturing. Formulation Development with application of QbD principles.





Drive process scale-up by conducting pilot trials and commercial registration batches at manufacturing facilities in Goa.

Experience in in-vitro release testing (IVRT) and in-vitro skin penetration testing (IVPT).

Establish Q1 (qualitative), Q2 (quantitative), and Q3 (microstructural) sameness parameters for generic topical filings.

Technical documentation, including MFC, PDR for product submission.

Knowledge of FDA, EMA, and ICH guidelines

Education

Master’s Degree (M.Pharm)

Minimum of 3–7 years of direct experience in pharmaceutical product formulation, specifically focused on topical or semi-solid products and Softgel.
