- Examine, diagnose, and treat infants, children, and adolescents.
- Monitor physical, mental, and developmental growth.
- Manage acute and chronic pediatric conditions.
- Provide vaccinations and preventive healthcare.
- Conduct routine pediatric health assessments.
- Order and interpret laboratory tests, imaging, and other diagnostic investigations.
- Prescribe medications and develop appropriate treatment plans.
- Identify developmental, nutritional, behavioral, and growth-related concerns.
- Provide emergency care when required.
- Counsel parents and caregivers regarding nutrition, hygiene, vaccinations, and child development.
- Maintain accurate and confidential patient medical records.
- Coordinate care with nurses, specialists, and other healthcare professionals.
- Follow hospital/clinic policies, medical guidelines, and patient-safety standards.
Qualifications
- Medical degree (MBBS or equivalent).
- Postgraduate qualification in Pediatrics, such as MD/DNB Pediatrics or equivalent.
- Valid medical registration/licensure.
- Relevant clinical experience in pediatrics is preferred.
- Valuable communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively with children and their parents/caregivers.
