GoLang Engineer / Senior Go Engineer

Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced GoLang Engineer with strong hands-on development and debugging experience in Go. The candidate will work on large-scale monorepo environments, open-source package upgrades, dependency management, build stabilization, and API migration activities.

Key Responsibilities

- Upgrade Go modules and third-party open-source package versions.
- Analyze dependency trees, compatibility issues, API changes, and upgrade impact.
- Resolve breaking API changes and update affected downstream applications.
- Troubleshoot Go build, Go test, Bazel, CI/CD and presubmit failures.
- Manage dependency upgrades, local patches, and patch lifecycle.
- Work with Git for code changes, reviews, merge conflicts, and change management.
- Maintain and troubleshoot Copybara configurations and source synchronization.
- Develop scripts and automation to support dependency analysis and upgrade activities.
- Prepare technical documentation, migration reports,



and validation evidence.
- Collaborate with engineering teams, reviewers, and technical SMEs to resolve issues.

Required Skills

- 3–8 years of software engineering experience with solid GoLang/Golang development.
- Strong knowledge of Go Modules, Semantic Versioning and Dependency Management.
- Hands-on experience with Go Build, Go Test and Bazel.
- Strong debugging and troubleshooting skills.
- Experience with API refactoring and dependency upgrades.
- Good knowledge of Git, Linux and Shell Scripting.
- Experience working with large codebases or monorepo environments.
- Understanding of CI/CD and build/presubmit pipelines.
- Good communication and documentation skills.

Preferred Skills

- Experience with Copybara or similar source synchronization tools.
- Experience in open-source package upgrades or vulnerability remediation.
- Experience with complex dependency graphs and generated code.
- Experience building automation/playbooks for package upgrades.
- Exposure to large-scale enterprise software development environments.
