We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Design Engineer with strong expertise in Creo Sheet Metal, GD&T;, and Weldment Design. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing and developing sheet metal and welded assemblies, creating manufacturing drawings, and ensuring compliance with industry standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and develop sheet metal components and welded assemblies using PTC Creo.
- Create detailed 3D models, 2D manufacturing drawings, and BOMs.
- Apply GD&T; (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing) as per ASME Y14.5 standards.
- Perform tolerance stack-up analysis and design validation.
- Develop weldment structures, fabrication drawings, and assembly documentation.
- Coordinate with manufacturing, sourcing,
and quality teams for design feasibility.
- Support engineering change management and design modifications.
- Ensure compliance with customer specifications and industry standards.
Required Skills:
- Strong experience in PTC Creo (Sheet Metal & Weldment Modules).
- Good knowledge of GD&T; and engineering drawing standards.
- Hands-on experience in fabrication and manufacturing processes.
- Expertise in assembly design, BOM creation, and detailing.
- Understanding of DFMA principles and tolerance analysis.
- Solid problem-solving and communication skills.
