ST ORE KEEPER

Job Purpose
Responsible for receiving, storing, issuing, and maintaining construction materials, tools, equipment, and consumables at the project site while ensuring accurate stock records and proper material control.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

- QUALIFICATION : B.COM / DCE OR ITI
- KNOWLEDGE OF MS OFFICE / WORD / EXCEL
- KNOWLEDGE OF MATERIALS USED IN CONSTRUCTION
- WILLING TO TRAVEL & WORK IN OUTSTATION SITES
- ABILITY TO COORDINATE WITH PURCHASE & ACCOUNTS DEPARTMENT
- AB ILITY TO INDENT THE MATERIALS & COORDINATE THE PROCUREMENTS

- Receive construction materials delivered to the site and verify quantity, quality, specifications, and delivery documents.
- Inspect materials against purchase orders, delivery notes, and approved material specifications.
- Properly store and organize materials to prevent damage, deterioration, loss, or unauthorized use.
- Issue materials to workers, subcontractors, and site teams based on approved material requests.
- Maintain accurate records of all material receipts, issues, returns, and transfers.




- Conduct regular physical stock counts and reconcile them with inventory records.
- Monitor minimum and maximum stock levels and inform the concerned person about re-order requirements.
- Maintain proper identification and labeling of materials.
- Control the storage of cement, steel, pipes, electrical items, plumbing materials, tools, PPE, and other construction supplies.
- Maintain records of damaged, rejected, excess, and obsolete materials.
- Coordinate with procurement, accounts, engineers, and site supervisors regarding material requirements.
- Prepare daily/weekly/monthly stock reports as required.
- Ensure proper housekeeping, safety, and security within the store area.
- Maintain supporting documents such as Goods Received Notes (GRN), Material Issue Notes (MIN), Material Return Notes, and stock registers.

Follow company procedures for material handling, inventory control, and site safety.
