- Implement and monitor EHS policies, procedures, and management systems (ISO 14001 / ISO 45001) across the plant.
- Conduct regular safety audits, risk assessments, and hazard identification (HIRA) for all plant processes and equipment.
- Ensure compliance with the Factories Act, Workplace Protection Act, Pollution Control Board norms, and other applicable statutory regulations.
- Investigate accidents, near-misses, and incidents; conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective/preventive actions (CAPA).
- Plan and conduct EHS training programs, mock drills, and toolbox talks for employees, contractors, and visitors.
- Monitor and maintain records related to fire safety, first aid, PPE usage, effluent treatment, and waste management.
- Liaise with government authorities (Factory Inspectorate, Pollution Control Board,



Fire Department) for licenses, renewals, and inspections.
- Drive safety improvement projects and support the plant in achieving zero-accident and zero-harm objectives.
- Prepare and submit periodic EHS reports, dashboards, and MIS to plant and corporate management.
- Coordinate emergency preparedness plans, including fire safety, evacuation drills, and disaster management procedures.
- Ensure proper permit-to-work systems are followed for high-risk activities (hot work, work at height, confined space entry, etc.).Role & responsibilities
