Data Product Manager

Job Summary

The Data Product Manager will drive the strategy, governance, and delivery of reusable data products to support advanced analytics, AI/ML, and reporting across the enterprise. This leadership role will partner with business, architecture, and engineering teams to establish standards, oversee data product portfolios, and enable scalable solutions that unify data across complex ERP and CRM systems. A deep understanding of both data architecture and manufacturing business processes is essential.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Planning & Leadership

- Define and lead the roadmap for enterprise data products across manufacturing functions.
- Ensure alignment with digital transformation initiatives and analytics strategies.
- Mentor Data Product Managers and ensure consistency in product delivery and documentation.
- Partner with business and IT stakeholders to drive cross-functional collaboration.
- Responsible for leading a segment; Data Product inventory and value mapping.
- Leading a team of people both FTE and Contingent staff

Modeling & Architecture Guidance

- Guide and review data model design for 3NF, Star, and Snowflake schemas.
- Integrate data across 100+ ERP/CRM systems with unified semantic layers.
- Oversee design of scalable, governed data pipelines and curated zones.
- Advocate for standards in metadata, lineage, and cataloging.





Manufacturing Domain Expertise & Governance

- Leverage knowledge of supply chain, operations, inventory, and order management to align data products with business KPIs.
- Define quality, security, and compliance requirements for data product lifecycle.
- Promote discoverability and reuse of assets across the organization.

Required Skills and Qualifications

- 10+ years of experience in enterprise data management, architecture, or product leadership.
- Strong expertise in manufacturing data domains and ERP/CRM systems (SAP, Oracle, JDE, Salesforce).
- Proficiency in data modeling and architecture best practices.
- Hands-on experience with AWS or Snowflake-based data platforms.
- Robust knowledge of metadata management, lineage, and governance tools.
- Track record of delivering scalable data solutions in complex environments.

Preferred Qualifications

- Experience with AI/ML readiness and data science enablement.
- Familiarity with Collibra, Alation, DataHub, or AWS Glue Catalog.
- Background in Agile delivery and cross-functional team leadership.
