Role & responsibilities

The Product Manager Platform is accountable for the end-to-end ownership of assigned modules of the Polarin Network-as-a-Service platform, spanning chance definition, commercial justification, requirement specification, design, development, user acceptance testing, launch and post-launch adoption. The position serves as the principal point of alignment between engineering, design, commercial and operations functions for the assigned scope, and is expected to convert market and customer needs into platform capability that is commercially sound, operationally supportable and demonstrably adopted.

- Product Ownership: Own assigned platform modules end to end, remaining accountable for the business outcome beyond release rather than for delivery hand-off alone.
- Stakeholder Management: Drive alignment across engineering, design, Sales and Sales Operations, NOC/SOC, Customer Service Delivery, Customer Experience, Finance and Marketing; resolve competing priorities at the working level and escalate only with a considered recommendation.
- Requirement Definition: Author production-grade PRDs, functional specifications, user stories and acceptance criteria covering exception handling, lifecycle state transitions, system integration behaviour and downstream billing impact.
- Platform, Architecture & APIs: Maintain a working command of platform component structure, data flows and integration surfaces; specify API resource models, error semantics, idempotency, versioning and rate-limit behaviour; treat the API, its documentation and its backward compatibility as a product deliverable.
- UI/UX & Design Partnership: Define user journeys and interaction requirements, review wireframes and prototypes against user and business objectives,



and validate usability prior to build in partnership with the design function.
- Cost-Benefit Analysis: Establish a documented commercial case for every material investment, covering build and run cost, opportunity cost, quantified benefit and measurement basis; apply equal rigour to recommendations not to proceed.
- Customer Experience: Assess every decision against the complete customer journey, from ordering and provisioning through in-life change, fault handling, billing clarity and support; treat avoidable friction as a product defect.
- Product Marketing & Enablement: Ensure every released capability is understood internally by the teams who sell, deliver and support it, and externally through Marketing-led positioning, collateral and customer communication.
