PCB Schematic Engineer – Memory Products
Location: Bangalore
Experience: 5–10 Years
Job Summary
We are looking for an experienced PCB Schematic Engineer with strong expertise in memory and storage products to design and develop high-speed PCB schematics for next-generation storage solutions.
The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience with DDR4/DDR5, LPDDR, NAND Flash, eMMC, UFS, PCIe, or NVMe and a strong understanding of high-speed digital hardware design.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop PCB schematics for memory and storage products.
- Create schematics using Cadence Allegro Capture CIS / OrCAD Capture.
- Select components, manage libraries, and generate BOMs.
- Design high-speed digital circuits involving DDR4/DDR5/LPDDR, NAND Flash, eMMC/UFS, PCIe Gen4/Gen5, NVMe, SPI, I2C, UART, and GPIO.
- Define power sequencing, clock distribution, reset architecture, and interface connectivity.
- Collaborate with PCB layout engineers on SI/PI and layout compliance.
- Review PCB layouts for signal integrity, power integrity, DFM, and EMC/EMI considerations.
- Support board bring-up, hardware debugging, and validation.
- Work with firmware, FPGA, validation, and manufacturing teams throughout the product lifecycle.
- Maintain schematic documentation, design guidelines, and engineering change documentation.
Mandatory Skills
- 5–10 years of experience in PCB schematic design.
- Strong hands-on experience with Cadence Allegro Capture CIS and OrCAD Capture.
- Experience with memory/storage products, such as SSD, NVMe, NAND Flash, eMMC, UFS, DDR4/DDR5, or LPDDR.
- Solid understanding of high-speed digital hardware design.
- Knowledge of power supply design, clocking, reset sequencing, and interface connectivity.
- Understanding of Signal Integrity (SI) and Power Integrity (PI) fundamentals.
- Experience in component selection, library management, and BOM creation.
- Ability to review PCB layouts and troubleshoot hardware design issues.
Preferred Skills
- Storage or semiconductor product development experience.
- Experience with board bring-up and hardware debugging.
- Knowledge of PCIe protocol and NVMe architecture.
- Experience using oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, or protocol analyzers.
- Knowledge of DFM, DFT, and EMC/EMI guidelines.
- Exposure to PSpice or circuit simulation tools.

Education
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electronics & Communication Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related discipline.
