Reports To: Restaurant Supervisor / Outlet Manager / Retail Sales Supervisor

Job Purpose

The Food Retail Counter Sales Associate is responsible for delivering an exceptional guest experience by assisting customers, promoting and selling Hurrem's products, handling billing and payments, maintaining attractive product displays, and ensuring the highest standards of hygiene, product quality, and customer service.

Key Responsibilities

1. Customer Service

- Welcome every customer warmly and provide a premium shopping experience.
- Understand customer requirements and recommend suitable bakery, confectionery, desserts, beverages, and gifting options.
- Answer customer queries regarding ingredients, allergens, shelf life, and product availability.
- Handle customer complaints courteously and escalate unresolved issues to the supervisor.

2. Sales & Upselling

- Achieve daily and monthly sales targets.
- Promote signature products, seasonal collections, combo offers, and corporate gifting options.
- Upsell premium products to increase the average bill value.
- Encourage repeat purchases by informing customers about loyalty programmes and promotions.

4. Product Display & Merchandising





- Arrange products according to visual merchandising standards.
- Refill display counters to maintain product availability.
- Rotate stock using FIFO/FEFO principles.
- Ensure products are displayed attractively with correct price tags and labels.

5. Product Handling & Packaging

- Pack products carefully to maintain quality and presentation.
- Ensure takeaway and gifting orders are packed as per company standards.
- Verify product quality before handing orders to customers.
- Handle cakes and fragile bakery items with care to avoid damage.

6. Hygiene & Food Safety

- Maintain cleanliness of the counter, display area, and workstations.
- Follow FSSAI food safety and personal hygiene standards.
- Monitor product freshness and remove expired or damaged items immediately.
- Maintain proper storage temperatures for chilled and frozen products.

7. Inventory Support

- Monitor stock levels at the counter and request replenishment when required.
- Assist in daily stock counts and inventory verification.
- Report stock shortages, damages, or discrepancies to the supervisor.

8. Store Operations

- Perform opening and closing duties.
- Ensure the outlet is ready for business before opening.
- Support promotional events, festivals, and product launches.
- Coordinate with the kitchen, stores, and dispatch teams for product availability.
