The Rostering Officer position supports the delivery of quality services to our clients through effective staff rostering and day-to-day scheduling support. The Rostering Officer is responsible for maintaining accurate rosters, coordinating shift coverage and will work closely with accommodation managers and outreach coordinator to support continuity of care to ensure participants receive services aligned with their individual support needs.
Responsibilities
- Prepare, maintain and updated staff rosters
- Coordinate day-to-day roster changes including shift replacements, cancellations, short notice coverage and service adjustments.
- Publish staff rosters within required organisational time frames
- Allocate staff based on participant needs, staff availability, qualifications and skill
- Arrange replacement staff for planned and unplanned leave and absences
- Ensure staff receive accurate and up to date roster information
- Liaise with management regarding roster updates and service changes
- Ensure newly onboarded staff are rostered within a timely manner
- Maintain accurate roster records
- Monitor and report roster discrepancies including missed shifts to management
- Respond to enquiries, phone calls and emails in a qualified and timely manner
- Immediately report and document issues such as workplace health and safety concerns, hazards,
accidents, near misses, incidents etc that may result in potential harm to clients, staff or others
- Work collaboratively with other team members
- Attend and comply with all mandatory training organised by the client
- Participate in staff development and team meetings
- Ensure the privacy and confidentiality of all clients and staff, while delivering services in a non-discriminatory manner
- Any other duties within the employee's skill level as directed, in accordance with organisational requirements
